I made it through first year commuting but it wasn't easy (It was awful). Moving to CLT was the best move I ever made. Love it here. Either way, first year pay sucks, but it wasn't any worse than flight instructing, but it was a kick in the nuts from my 135 job before here...so there is that. Nonetheless, you can make it work. Plenty of guys do. If there had been a regional with a base where I lived I may have considered it.

I think long term, and the long term (5-10 years) at PSA looks god awful. Let's say, hypothetically, you are a 1500 hr. new-hire and decide to go to PSA. You aren't even remotely competitive for one of the 2 legacy (Delta and United) jobs for 5 years. Who is to say they're going to hire you? I'd rather go to a place with a flow, then have a life long career at PSA. Or even a stint at PSA then move over to a LCC. But that's just me. Different strokes for different fokes.

Haha I bet you do. You do nothing but tell lies on here so I wouldn't believe a word you say. I can't believe I'm actually wasting my time responding to you, but yes a few jumped ship to PSA in the past but not anymore.

I think we all know the answer to that question. I guess most pilots just aren't as smart as subslime259.

That's news to me. Reserve will never go away, not here nor at any other airline. Id imagine CVG will go junior for FOs.
