My guard unit is in Charleston,WV and Im from the area so I would like to stay here if at all possible. It's roughly 3 hours from where I live to drive there and I have family in that area which I could stay with if need be. Thanks for the upgrade info at PSA and I agree with upgrading with my unit, I'm in no hurry to get hired because I could always guard bum and feel that it allows me to be more picky on a regional. I'm close to 750 tt to qualify for R-ATP and I'm wondering if that would be enough to get hired, or if i need more to be competitive even at a regional.
Given you have FW turbine time, you should be marketable with the R-ATP. My class had two RW guys from the Army. One was also rated FW. He was to be my sim partner but didn't make it through his ATP oral. Don't know what happened other than he's at Mesa now. So is the other guy. I do know what happened with him and it was beyond his control.
Reserve call out time is two hours for DAY and CLT, one hour for TYS. When I get called out on a trip, the notice is pretty close to two hours.
New hires usually get their choice of base prior to finishing IOE. While in training, you get your 75-hour guarantee plus per diem 24/7 when in training. If you are on a break, at home, between training events, you will not receive per diem, but continue to get the monthly 75-hour guarantee.
Check your PM, too.

So I'm trying to figure out what Kernan's email from yesterday was all about. It seems like he's peed-off about something and he's blaming the "collective bargaining agreement" for the involuntary displacements.
I don't get it. If PSA opens a new base and not enough pilots voluntarily chose that base, what are the options,....... C.B.A. or not!
Can someone help be understand his issue?

I think that the company knew what would happen, but they didn't want the pilots to blame them. They just did what the CBA said.
Dayton makes absolutely no sense for a base, and CVG is a much better option. CVG will likely grow and be much bigger than DAY in a short amount of time.
