This is why this country hates unions. All we need now are overweight reps that are driving Cadillac's and chewing on big cigars giving me a pat on the head telling me to just hang in there.

Last election in TYS had 12% turnout of eligible voters. With numbers like that all the keyboard commandos on here should shut their dang pie holes.

I need to make money while waiting for this 10 year flow to .....merican, so I hope that union does something about it. Also would be nice to get a commuter hotels, 4 hrs minimum days without carve outs, parking allotment for commuters and dead heading at 100%.

Hearing tumors that XJT is now considering a retention bonus as well. A lot of places will have retention and increased hiring bonuses by this summer. Except they will have all that plus increased pay and better contracts and better bases. If PSA wants to really attract new hires AND keep pilots from leaving, they are going to have to do much better than $20K paid out quarterly over 2 years. That's a drop in the bucket compared to other regionals right now. Especially when you consider that our first year pay is now some of the worst in the industry.

Let me do some rough, approximated math.
Average FO in a regional makes about 40k/yr, average CA makes 80k, so per crew mainline airlines are paying ABOUT 120/yr per crew. Just a quick glance over at the mainline scales, even for CRJ/ERJ 76 seat airplanes FO's are making 80k and captains with some seniority at least 120k and higher, so right now mainline is saving ~80k/year/crew, and that doesn't even factor in higher mainline retirement contributions and profit sharing, so I'd venture that it's over 100k cheaper to still outsource to regionals.
That 100k leaves a whole lot of room to improve our pay. Delta is already giving 40k/year/crew to Endeavor and they're still making money off them. In my estimation accepting any offer less than that is selling a pilot group short, and AA can definitely afford to do that with ease.

4 hour min day is a waste of negotiation, that's why SKW got it. The pilot shortage will improve schedules to the point that it will be worth little in the furture, but to push for it now means going back 5 years to see what it would cost, which wouldn't be a fair sample since the schedules were less productive then. So you would WAY over pay for that extra 30 min.

Probally, union goons here want to use FO leverage to get their CCP that was an accident to begin with and then suppose to be a slam dunk in arbitration.
