If anyone needs gouge info, aviationinterviews.com has a SPOT ON gouge for both written and technical material.

Thanks to all who answered questions for me the last few weeks.
Congratulations! How many were in your interview class? Yeah you meant Dec 5. I almost took that one :-)

Default December

Yes! December is what I meant! We had 8 total, including myself. I was the first to go, and boarded the shuttle right after so I'm not sure how many were offered.

Was told some people holding out until after the holidays. Doesn't make sense to me, but hey....

Seniority is everything. Good plan.

150-180 is low. I think you're underestimating the amount of hiring that will be taking place next year. I'd go far as to say closer to 250-300 outside of the flow.

That's like more than half the captains assuming they hire competitive.

It won't be all Captains. There will be plenty of FO's to ULCCs and the legacies. 20+ per month is not out of the realm of possibility. At Pinnacle back in 07 we were losing 30-40.

Small group trials beginning in January as the demonstration phase for FAA approval for the AQP program.

AQP recurrent program expected to be in full swing for those needing a recurrent PC starting in February.

The problem you have is most captains are not super competitive the quick upgrade has produced alot of barely qualified captains. So movement will be slower than expected.

You make a fair point but the vast vast majority of the quick upgrade guys all had thousands of hours of SIC elsewhere. LCCs also seem to be hiring more FOs than anything else. Movement in the upcoming environment is inevitable.

The majority of the fast upgrade captains were 8 year FO's elsewhere. The majority have 7000+ hours in jets.

I would not call them "barely qualified"
