Really? Why would someone do that?

Default DCA crashpad

Was wondering if anyone had some insight on crashpads available in the area? I'm a commuter with no transportation. I can't seem to find anything, even when I type it on google. There is a website called crashpad 411 but isn't much of help and you'll need to pay $10 just to send messages. The listings also seem outdated. Any help or direction would greatly appreciated as I have no where else to look.

Cincinnati and Dayton are the most Junior bases in our system and will be for the foreseeable future, especially Dayton.

So if you want to stay in Cincinnati you should be able to hold if not your first training bid defiantly by the second.

Also if you want to avoid the 200 I was told that CVG is all 700/900.

I'm floating between DAY and CVG on my base bid. I should know next week what base I'm getting out of training. I figure there will be at least another two bids before I finish IOE to change my bases.

No need to look up. CVG is all 700/900 and I would say a lot more 900 than 700.
As far as comparing CVG to DAY about the only advantage DAY has is you can park right next to terminal. And get wifi in park lot! Lots of "cheap" apts. near DAY. Cost of living very low in both. CVG though has nicer crew rooms and more food options at the terminal.

You might want to check in the AirWis forum...I'm guessing they might have some vacancies in their crash pads in DCA that you might be able to get in on. DCA is a pretty high cost of living area...even more so when you get close to the downtown area (Arlington/Springfield).

I was told that some of the union members are putting crashpad info together for the pilot group. They are talking to mainline and AWAC to get names and numbers for crashpads and will email it to the pilot group.

It is pretty clear this guy did not read the invitation letter the interview. In it, it says to make sure your logs books are squared away and includes a link to an article to show you what they are looking for (properly totaled pages, ect)

It is not that difficult to walk into an interview prepared between the gouge that is out there on what they are going to ask and what is on the test, and they information they provide you.
