These last posts make my head hurt.

I also can't believe that FO's making $60,000 a year are complaining because they don't get free pb&j sandwiches at the nicer hotel. Go rent a car and drive yourself. Seriously. I know my class had several people drive, and a group of 2 friends and I rented a car for the 5 weeks that we were there and split the bill. We put all of us on the insurance and we split it. And we made $24,000 our first year.

You are an adult. Find a solution. Make it work. Don't just sit back and complain.

most of my class were living off their credit cards. the free breakfast and lunch was very much appreciated.

your first per diem check doesn't come until 20th of the second month after you start.

so, since you walked to class both ways up hill in the snow everyone else does too ?
way to lower the bar...

5 weeks in DAY, about 2 weeks of sims in CLT depending on if you need additional training or not, 2 days of differences ground (not sure where) and 2 days of differences sim in CVG. Not very long breaks between each of those events.

You come off as entitled and whiny. There are always people that complain about everything. I feel sorry for you. I really do.

Appreciate what you have and the opportunity that is in front of you. If it is that bad, please find another place to work.

Default Goodnight, sleep tight . . . .

Seriously if there were bedbugs anywhere the whole place would need to be treated. Don't really want those bug bites and don't want to take them home in the suitcase! So glad they left the Clarion and hope we don't go back unless they show proof that the bugs were treated properly. My class is coming up next month so will stay tuned for updates.

I know from my time in the Marines that troops always complain, it's when they turn to complaining without providing solutions that cause issues. I agree with you PSAhelp that there is a little too much complaining going on about the hotel rooms. I enjoy a nice hotel, but then again three deployments with one that I lived in a mud hut and slept on a cot in Afghanistan for the majority of the deployment without having a shower for 4 months if it didn't come from a water bottle the Crowne Plaza will be fine for me. As for the area, I'm just glad Ohio honors Florida's CCW.

Planning on applying for the PSA RTP program in the next week or two so hopefully by the end of summer I'll be classing up in Dayton. I'll be driving up so I'll have 5 seats in my pickup to help out anyone who doesn't have a vehicle.

Is it Clarions everywhere that suck? Shipping out for BCT we stayed at one the night prior to our flights. I woke up with a rash all over my legs. Had to get some Benadryl up at the 7-11 before we left. Cleared it up though. I was, however, about to fall asleep standing in line at security and half expected them to ask if I was on something...

You do realize that every hotel gets bed bugs occasionally, from the nicest hotels to the biggest dump. It is part of the life of a person that travels often.

It is very common for even nice hotels to get bed bugs, they close those few rooms, the exterminating crew does their thing, and then those rooms reopen.

Think about the large hotels in places like Las Vegas. Even the Wynn gets bedbugs. Do they close all 2700 rooms in the main tower? Absolutely not.

I have been here 3 years and have never seen a bed bug. I know that other people claim to on occasion, but it is very, very rare. There are a few people that claim to see them all the time, and then share pics of ladybugs and claim that they are bedbugs.

My intention was to advise those coming in to class behind me of our current situation. We have gone to management with suggested solutions and did not just whine.

Thank you for the training footprint. This is great. I thought I was going to have to read two more pages of hotel comments... geez.
