[QUOTE=Jluis546;2308412] Also whats the actual time to flow (recruiters say 5-6 years, Airline friends say 10-15).QUOTE]

I've been at PSA for about 3 years. I got in right at the beginning of the big hiring wave. By my most conservative and realistic math, I'm still looking at an additional 4 years before I flow. So if I got in at the front of the wave and it'll be 7 years for me to flow, and you're getting in a the back of the wave,........ I think you can see that the recruiters (5-7 years) are being a bit too optimistic.

Actually that's not true. The recruiters are being WAAAYYYY to optimistic.

Now queue PSAHELP to come in and defend the recruiters and tell us how attrition will pickup from all of the majors greatly increasing their hiring and tell us how the flow will increase from 5/month to 8/month, thereby making it "possible" that all of the new hires will flow in 5 - 6 years.

In fairness, PSA is not a bad choice if you're considering joining a regional airline. But only an uninformed idiot would come here because of the flow.

Actually, I don't think we will get past 6 flows unless the company decides to be generous and give them to us.

I also said that it was the company's prediction, not that I think it will happen.

I think that the attrition is going to increase a great deal. The flow will be for those that have any blemishes on their resume (no degree, a couple failures, whatever) and everyone else will get hired outside of the flow.

I know we have more than 6 interviewing at AA in the next few weeks, plus many others with interviews or awaiting class dates elsewhere.

I think that those on the bottom of the list could move up more than 300 spots in their first year, and slowing as they get more senior.

I've been here about as long as you, plus or minus a couple months, and the average
attrition seems to be about 11 a month for me since I started. This coming months seniority list will be a lot higher than that. I expect it to increase to about 14 on a consistent level late this year. That would be moving up 150+ spots a year. I would be out of here in less than 4 years.

In truth, the markets could collapse tomorrow and all of the airlines shrinking overnight. There is no guarantee. I am hoping for the best, but knowing that bad things can always happen. I am not going to make a prediction on flow this far out. Too many variables.

It's because there a lot of "dead" pages where posts have been deleted.

I'm guessing the written exam was actually multiple-choice.

For the ecumenical, my apologies,.... western, sorry if you got offended ...,I understand that there are polysimical concepts that I can not use here ... it is difficult to be flatulent ... and yes it was the same test you took !!! Sorry if anybody got offended....
PSA help, how severe is the attrition?!? And another question, I've heard that there are PSA pilots with job offers in AA, what are, or will, the union actions, what does the group thinks about it !?! have you heard anything, anybody ???...?! IMO, increasing the number of pilots in the flow will not hurt the company, mainline is hiring out of the flow sequence.
Again, If my lack of punctuation and polic offended someone, I apologize

Gotta love Stevie

BLUF, PSA is NOT the airline you want to go to today. PDT and EDV are MUCH better choices, all around.

The recruiters told me plan for about 8 years, IF attrition to other carriers keeps up. If it's purely flow then plan for about 20/25 years.... LOL

I didn't come for the flow. It's nice to have in my back pocket, but I'm shooting for Delta, United, or Fedex.
