He will need to go through the full ATP-CTP program.

There isn't any more old school written guys anymore. The only guys that don't have to do the CTP are current 121 FOs with just commerical licenses, I think. I could be wrong on that.

I was only "commenting" on his interpretation of your statement(I find it hard to figure out exactly what you're trying to say in most of your posts).

All 121 pilots have been required to hold an ATP for several years now. If you hold a Commercial Certificate or only a single engine ATP, you have to do the CTP and take the ATP Multiengine written.

Long before PSA was offering the CTP there was at least one guy who made it all the way to the oral with a SE ATP with no written. There wasn't any malfeasance on his part, but the company gave him the option of funding his own CTP and coming back within a certain amount of time with no loss of seniority.

As it would've been several thousand dollars, and it was still a $25/hour gig back then, he went back to corporate.

Yea, this is confirmed. I took the CTP course on my own back in 2015 and there were several active FO's as well as a few who were coming back from prolonged absence (medical loss, military, etc) who were taking the course to get in compliance with the law. I believe the "1500 hour rule" is basically that now, all 121 pilots must have ATP, FO and CA. Im pretty sure there is no grandfathering.

I am glad to see all of the movement and upgrades at PSA this year. We have to be getting close to 100 upgrades already this year.

There should be another CA upgrade award towards the end of the month. More movement less time for me to get to R1!

One of the instructors in DAY said they were averaging 24 upgrades per month. That's great movement. Hopefully it just keeps on rolling (and the airline can get more flying)
