She didn't know we are briefed on the detonation weather... her question was... you guys don't happen to know what the weather in Charlotte is like?

I responded, no idea, we're going to find out when we get there...

Again I see nothing wrong with her question. Sounds like you’re being a bit critical of the wording of her question.

Pure. Gold.
It's an interesting thing, the things people write on official incident statements. One of the best I've read in some time that I won't repeat here for certain reasons....but be assured it's true....

a CA wrote an ASAP for his PF leg when things got interesting....the ASAP was literally a haiku. FO's ASAP was 2 paragraphs. Experience counts, right?

love the sn, BFM

Was this just recent on the published reports? My question is was the captain or FO correct in their reporting style?

She’s just a dumb FA, though

I don't mind FAs asking how the weather is or what the flight time is, but asking it when we're handing out the paperwork hoping to be on time is not the best time.

You're supposed to tell them the flight time... that typically determines the type of service they do.

How about this: I go to request the jumpseat, talk to the crew, have the standard introduction and agree that I'm welcome to the jumpseat if nothing in the back opens up so I should go ask the lead FA. So I ask the lead FA, who tells me to go check myself. In a 767.

Also, "Captain." (I'm an FO). I quickly came to terms with rampers and baristas doing this, but gate agents and FA's? Common.
