Did you get a call for a classdate yet?

What is the time to upgrade taking now at Mesaba? I figure I am at the bottom of seniority now so what the heck! Mesaba has GOT to be better than 8-10 years, ehh?

How does Mesaba force you to resign your seniority number with another airline anyways?
Your upgrade time is changing even as we speak. Right now the most junior Saab CA is I believe Feb 2008 hire. The latest vacancy notice has 16 new CA slots for jets so that should free up more Saab CA slots.

Mesaba is getting 15 more CRJ9s starting Jan 2009 so there should be more CA slots opening up. If I had to guess, it would be less than 1 year for upgrade into Saabs if you have the ATP mins and 2 to 3 years for jet upgrades for new hires starting right now. But this is just a guess based on today's projections for growth. It could change.

Why would you want to keep your old airlines seniority number? I can understand if you are furloughed from a major airline but from another regional? Once your old airline receives notice from Mesaba they would know you have jumped ship anyway. I believe Mesaba makes you sign a letter and it is sent to your old airline. Even without this though, your old airline HR will receive a request for your records and that you have been hired by Mesaba.

Great guy, don't have a negative comment to say about him. He did my interview with a 900 Capt. He seemed to really be interested in what I had to say and not just ask the questions that were on his list. We had a good time and I liked him...

Junior CA on the Saab is Jan 2008(I know cause its me). But thats beacuse we are street Captains. True upgrade is running around #690 right now, which is about an Aug 2007 hire date, I think.

The next vacancy which is for a new hire class date of 12/1 has 14 CRJ-900 upgrades and 14 Saab upgrades for a total of 28 upgrades. Also, there will be 20 newhires to the 900 and 4 to the saab.

Hope this helps. Good luck with the interviews!

Is there anyone out here that submitted an app around 10/06 updated 10/12 and still waiting on a call or a rejection email. I just wonder if there are people out there that never got any response at all. I would like to know something. Any info is greatly appreciated.
