I'm in March 30 class, and no phone call on cancellation (yet!)

 

I'm also in the March 30t class and no notice yet. I think I'm going to wait a few days after the new year before I send HR an e-mail since I'm sure they are back up on making calls.

Hopefully everyone that was given a class date will be put in a pool. I know it sucks that the classes were cancelled, but I guess a pool is the next best thing to hope for.

 

Confirmed by HR today via email, everybody who has a class date is in the pool.

Just remember, no sharks in the pool!

 

It would be nice to have a running tally of how many are in the pool so we can determine whether it is worth our wait. Good luck to everyone.

That's been heard around the rumor mill more than once...the bottom line is Delta's cutting back on 200's and replacing with more practical and efficient 700/900 series aircraft. There are 35 options out there for someone to receive more CR9 airframes, however Delta's mainline scope clause is nearly maxed out with 76 seat aircraft which doesn't afford much room for that. This is all from the mouth of some vet capts turned sim instructors. They've seen it, been through it once, twice, maybe more...

In the end, it doesn't matter what's said, what's promised to be on property, or who says I heard this or that. When you see the release with a new a/c ID, you can believe it...and even at that point it may be too good to be true. All we have control over is flying safely, efficiently, and keeping to the contract. Like so many have already said, we're in a good position right now after nearly non-stop hiring for a year and half. Things will turn around, and for those in the newly formed pool stay positive, keep swimming, and best of luck.

 

Just talked to a ground school instructor that’s a friend of mine....the instructor was told that all classes are canceled with the exceptions of one upgrade class. They didn’t know if people were going into a pool or not I hope this isn't a long term stop but you never know what is going to happen. Sorry to the guys that got their class canceled!!

 

Are you saying that Mesaba is getting 50 CRJ200's?
