did you at least tell him he's a selfish jerk who is still at Comair after way too many years because he knows he would never make it at a real airline... That's probably what I would have said.

Apparently the Union needs to put out some kind of communication about picking up open time. Relying on common sense obviously isn't working. What a bunch of crap.

How has attrition been the past few months? I knew it was down around 5-10 a month, just curious how its been going. And I'm not talking about the forced attrition from the bottom of the list (I'm one of them)

I talked with someone in crew forecasting/planning the other day and he said attrition for November was ZERO. Uh huh.

Everyone knows we have people out of furlough, if they don't, they are either lying or live in a cave. Putting a letter in everyones V-file from the union won't do anything. People don't care.

Exactly...to put a twist on Forrest Gump: "Greedy is as Greedy does"

There are a lot of me, me me senior pilots. I remember one guy in particular when I first found out about being f'ed. He brought up the furloughs, asked if I was one of them. When I said yes, he actually said this: "Well at least you're not making much money and won't have much to lose. My 401(k) has dropped more than you'll make this year." He then went on to tell me how smart he was by converting his 401(k) to cash and avoided losing hundreds of thousands like some of the other guys. Upid-stay Ick-pray!

I think that if you know someone is picking up EF then call them out on it, maybe "remind" them that 200+ are not working with more to come. I'm out on the street so it's not possible for me to saying anything to these people who are really making it more difficult for those on furlough. I wish I had a better idea on how to get it through to these people.

trust me. If I'm flying with someone who admits doing that, they'll know my stance pretty quick.
