I wonder how many of them will feel like making a personal statement to express their dissatisfaction with Comair/Delta?

How many of them will put family first this year?

Or how many will be having this conversation...

"I'm sorry I gotta work for the third Christmas in a row, honey. But I have to go! It's my job! Comair needs me! I'm a respected and critical part of the Comair team! Without me, hundreds of passengers will have a crummy Christmas and ignorantly blame it on Delta. I can't let that happen. If Comair doesn't keep our performance numbers up, Delta will lose faith in us and before you know it, we'll have Chautauqa, Skywest, ASA, Freedom, and Pinnacle coming into CVG and doing trips Comair couldn't do because I called in sick on Christmas! Remember how we got those Honey-Baked hams last year and two years ago? I owe a lot to Comair and you and the kids will just have to live with it. Now I have to go pack some PB&J sandwiches because no place will be open on Christmas. I have a hard day on the 29th so the kids can open presents then. You tell them the bad news. I'll see you in 6 days. Comair will make it up to us someday, I promise!"

I don't know what to say, except it's Christmas and we're all in misery.

They are saying that she is retiring, but with everyone else in the CP office departing and the fact that she has been here quite a while I wouldn't doubt it.

A certain Steve B. could cut some inches of the belt size to get to "the right size"

I hear ya. You know, if we had a future here at Comair they would say that we are right sizing right now, but that once the economy turns around Delta has such and such plan for us. They are always the ones to run the propaganda drill on us and they aren't even doing that these days.

Do you think if we had a standing chance, our MEC chairman would be stepping down after he has "worked so hard" for us? He probably sees that we aren't getting anywhere and his family better deserves his time. I don't blame him.

Didn't he just get re-elected or was the election for the remaining MEC members? I do hear RA and EB keep saying that Comair will remain a vital part of Delta. Right now their main focus is getting DL and NWA employees integrated and getting onto one SOC. The DCI piece of the merger is a very small piece and will slowly come together. Only Ng4 and those guys know what's really instore for us.
