To answer: no, took a job at Comair to transfer to the flight side of the house I did interview with Comair and was given a raw deal by a previous employer, Comair recruiter found out about it some time later (same thing happened to a bud of his so to help me out they bought me on- along with 5 other pilots.)

Next questions answered, no, I did part 135 heavy props in blackbeard country, My story? Well it all began sometime in the 60's, see, my mother met my father, then procreation took place................

Anyway guys/gals, I'm just telling you what a manager told me. I hope he's wrong. I know many of you are angry at what happened, can't blame you and I hope things work out for the best for everyone.

Will that really happen? It may, but now at least you know what Delta may have up thier sleeve. Excuse me for giving the warning!!

Heehee!

Hey, one thing I'm confused about. Where exactly is "Blackbeard country"? Blackbeard hailed from England and spent time along the whole eastern shore of North America, as well as the Caribbean. He sailed up the Chesapeake, hid out in Pamlico Sound in NC, blockaded Charleston harbor in SC (and actually lived in Charleston for a while, with his wife), partied in Nassau in the Bahamas, and sailed the entire Caribbean from Cuba to Aruba.

Please make my fantasy image come true and tell me you flew DC-3's or Convairs in the Caribbean. Sweet!

My dream was to fly Grumman Mallards to the Bahamas, and all I got was this furlough letter!

Yes, I was just wondering if anyone knew when those rewards(if you want to call it a reward) get published.

I'm furloughed, so I don't know what the SAW window was, but it usually comes out 3-5 days after SAW closes, but who knows...they always have problems.

I'm thinking neither a DC-3 or Convair could be flown under pt. 135. I think that fantasy might need to be limited to a Beech 18...though still a pretty cool one.

The Irish Concord -Shorts 360. Where Blackbeard did all his antics was the Carribean, plus I flew in the states. Nothing like being on call 6-1/2 days a week $50.00 a day, no overtime, holiday pay, load/unload your own cargo,
Those were the days........ I think back on them fondly - Now I am about to puke.

To the furloughed guys/girls:

First- Anyone else see this? If this stimulus package ever gets passed in the next few centuries one of the perks is that the employer who laid you off will now have to pay 65% of your cobra.

Sources:
Medicaid, COBRA Provisions Under Economic Stimulus Package Expand Health Care Coverage

http://www.americanbenefitscouncil.o...mary011609.pdf

This is a huge savings if you currently elect to have cobra and pay the 102% premiums.

Second- Anyone single with no kids and receiving food stamps? Trying to figure out if I'm eligible in the sunshine state.

Third- Ive been furloughed since October and feel like I have lost almost all knowledge of aviation. I cant afford to rent a airplane. Anyone else feel like this?

Fourth: GO METS!!

Has anyone had their longevity date pass for their travel benefits that is on furlough and paid their fees? anyone have any trouble with that?

also, does anyone know, as i couldnt find it in our contract, how long we can keep our employee number and seniority date while on furlough before or even if we have to interview again?
