Maybe it is the beginning of the end? Oh wait, that was in 2000.

Is the begining of the trip to armagedon, you're going first class, the FA is fugly, and there's no liquor left.

Or they just recalled too many......your choice.

November starts the winter schedule, which of course is always lighter compared to spring/summer flying. Not to mention the first wave of lease return aircraft, are scheduled to depart the fleet in 1st Qtr 2011. The company wants to wait as long as it can before they furlough, in order to firm up bases and packages available to union employees.

I would imagine they'll want to cut senior employee pay because that's where the money is. If it's put to a membership vote, the bottom three quarters will be the one voting for a pay cut for the top quarter. The top quarter is safe as captains so why would they vote for a pay cut?

The opposite may be true - only the top 1/4 could be expected to vote for pay cuts because they are the only ones left with pay to cut.

The bottom 3/4 are already taking a 50% or 100% pay cut depending on displacement or furlough. As such, most will be looking to move on and put an end to the "Comair Chapter" of their lives.

ng4 has already stated he offers no promise of aircraft deliveries or fleet guarantees.

Why would the bottom 3/4 vote for pay cuts when they are out the door? To give ng4 his "only hope of Comair's survival?" and corresponding CEO bonus?

.

PS - this all changes if Delta changes their tune tomorrow and says "we have airplanes for you, wanna play ball?"

The senior guys will vote for a pay cut, because like Richard Gere in Officer and a Gentlemen, they "got no place else to go".
Hopefully the rest of us vote no and let this place shut down.
