Comair updates?

The drive home last night was a bit interesting. I71 north at cut-in-the-hill had a semi tractor going down the hill in the right lane, with is trailer in the lane next to him. I give him credit though, he did a good job keeping it behind him. My car is awesome in the snow. I've got an '07 Prius and it just plows through anything. I could probably make it to the airport today, but it'd take probably 2-3 hours on what is normally a 35 min drive time. But alas, Boone, Kenton, Hamilton, and Dearborn are all level 3, so I get to hibernate.

I'm going to wait till this late afternoon like 3 or 4 before I leave here, by then they should have lifted all the restrictions in the Cinci counties and I can get to lovely Hebron. Hopefully I can pick up some flying tomorrow

That shouldn't be a problem. I just hang up with skeds and they are in melt down over there. Too many flights to cover and not enough pilots to go around. You should be able to get something.

Good Luck!
I'm just sitting here in my hotel watching how my trip changes every 30 minutes with the Weather Channel and CNN in the background
They got me DH on a bunch of canceled flights right now.
What would happen if SBS crashes?!

It wouldn't be good. To have two system crashes in 3 years. Heads would roll. You'd think they'd be quicker about getting a new system, especially for times like today. But I think they solved most of their problems when they separated the pilot and FA sides of SBS. Who really knows though? It's really old technology. I could guarantee you that you wouldn't be flying for a few days though.

Would I be correct in saying that an employee cannot be punished for failing to show to work when the local government specifically prohibits it?
I appreciate the fact that the chief is out picking people up, but Boone and Kenton Counties are under level three snow emergencies. That would make that very illegal.

LEVEL 3: All roadways are closed to non-emergency personnel. No one should be out during these conditions unless it is absolutely necessary to travel or a personal emergency exists. All employees should contact their employer to see if they should report to work. Those traveling on the roads may subject themselves to arrest.
