Looks like he got it right this time though. Good thing we are going to be ALPA when we shut down so we can get preferential interviews or hiring or whatever BS they call it.

Don't worry, i'm with you. The only ones that are excited by ALPA are the people that may get some time off, doing union work. As far as I'm concerned ALPA is a joke and they just want our dues and are not looking after what is best for us as a group. And.... Regarding Delta's TA, I'm sure there will be a loop hole somewhere, saying the preferential hiring doesn't apply to Comair pilots.....

Why would Comair get preferential interviews considering the sins of the past. Those that caused the pain are close to needing help themselves and I'm sure there are many a Delta pilot looking and waiting for payback.

My $.02

Good Luck,

TC

The TA(which is not yet approved) would require this:

the Company will fill a minimum of 35% of the aggregate of all positions in Delta pilot new-hire classes in each trailing twelve month period (to the extent airmen are available) with ALPA-represented airmen at Delta Connection Carriers, subject to such airmen meeting the Company's competitive hiring standards, and subject to the Company's objectives for diversity and experience among newly hired pilots.

I know but don't you think they will find a way to exclude us? Like "this doesn't apply for red haired stepchildren"

Yeah, because the pilots at Comair had SOOOO much to do with any problems the DL pilots have. Always placing the blame in the wrong place. Just one of the MANY reasons I am proud to be a "True Blue" cardholder, and I would rather pay more for their superior service than fly DL ever again.

Now if we could only find out where the planes are going so we can apply and take our years of experience with us and be compensated accordingly..............................
