Yes, CKO in SBS is purely an administrative thing. It updates your currency in landings, and it notifies you of upcoming assignments. You are released to rest 20 mins after block in.

Oh, and if you ever want to have some fun, type CKL in SBS and see whose name pops up.

Guys beware of posting Comair videos online. You will get in a lot of trouble with the company if you post any video that has to do anything with Comair on any of the online websites such as myspace, youtube, facebook, etc. You might be suspended and terminated for such posting.

Even better, when you are waiting to use a computer to check in or out, sometimes the person before you presses enter several times, presumably so you can't see their line. Well, if you don't know their employee number, just type in CD + and the last line that was viewed is brought up. Same thing with a trip, type in PD + to see the last viewed trip.

What are people posting? Videos from the cockpit (landings and takeoffs) or something in response to that juvenile, high school-esque Mesa video about how Mesa pilots are better than Comair pilots?

Posting a video...no.

Making a video with a Comair logo in it or utilizing the Comair name...they could get you. If they will is another question, depends on how they feel when the see it.

Just going through the May bid packet, found something kinda funny. SCE will be getting the 70 now.

A few years ago I arranged for a 40 seat flight to be upsized to a 70 to accomodate a softball team that had missed their connection. Flight Control upsized, except nobody in SCE was qualified to work the 70. So I had to ride with them and give them the crash course on how to turn a 70. They said "it was the biggest airplane they've ever had in there"

Anybody else see the new 50 checklist? Check the flaps just before you clear the CAS. I can't believe we still have people going out without flaps.

Scheizer happens, man. We are creatures of habit, especially as pilots. When you have done things for a certain way for several years, some habits are hard to break. I'm not being critical of your statement in the least, but have you ever missed a checklist item, wrote down wrong performance numbers, messed up the load manifest, missed something on preflight, forgot to check in, missing an approach chart, etc...?

Sometimes the wrong circumstances can all come together at the right time and lead to an attempted takeoff with flaps at 0. Getting to the aircraft late from a last minute airplane change, have mx come out to defer an item, hurried getting ATIS and clearance, pushback to deice, then taxi out with a short taxi and all of this happens on the last leg of a 28 hour 4 day trip.

I haven't seen the checklist yet, but they are doing the best they can of breaking that chain of events to prevent an indavertant departure with flaps at 0.

When was the last time you've seen a 28 hour 4 day trip at Comair?

An extra checklist item won't fix it. People are already glossing over the parts that were designed to catch this...an extra item is jsut something else for them to say.
