True.. I didnt know there were that many... I guess I was only looking at people out of IOE. Hopefully it doesnt come to that... I'd hate to see anyone thrown out on the street.

You guys, it may be for nothing, but you can give it a shot. Write, fax, email, call or visit your Senators and Congressman. Tell them about your outrage and how this crap has to stop with oil.
There is a bill right now, stuck in committee, in the Democrat controlled Senate, that will help alleviate the oil problem. The American Energy Protection Act (Senate Bill 2958). They won't move it out of committee to put it on the floor for a vote because they know that this oil doom and gloom only helps them (the Democrats) in the fall elections. They are ultimately playing politics with your careers and livelihoods! This nonsense needs to stop.
Before some of you criticize me for being a Republican, I am not one! I often yell at them just as much as I do the Democrats. I am actually a Libertarian now, and just switched my party affiliation to the Libertarian party.

Someone is lucky I'm not their boss. Because they would be doing the carpet dance right now. We went from hiring 300 pilots to furloughs in 1 week. Is our contract up or something? This just seems to inept.
If this is really how things are going to run they I might have a suggestion for the first few furloughs.....

Oil just hit over $140.00 per barrel, Stock market went into the toilet today lost close to 400 points. Comair folks, as well as all my fellow people in this aviation industry, we're with you. Now lets' get those damn oil speculators, greedy bastards!!!!
