ok, so i just read the email saying how the MEC has other open issues that it has to deal with first with the compay, befor the furlough issue. I would think that dealing with furloughs and the possibility there of would be the top priority.??

You would think, but I doubt any of the union guys are at risk of being furloughed.... If I were them, I would probably make sure the Hyatt hotel gets their steak and lobster dinner orders correct for the next meeting first and if there is any time left over then discuss the furlough....

Yes it happened. I flew with one of the CA's that did one of the flights. Two UM's were being taken to their aircraft at the same time, each with a separate destination and basically the gate agent accidentally swapped them and put them on the wrong flights. In order to save a media disaster, Comair became a really expensive but essentially free charter operation for two kids.

Ok I'm tired and this might be a dumb question but what about this merger assessment deal....for those of us that do end up on the street, are we still expected to pay for that while out of work?

This is a highly inaccurate statement. Lots of "union guys" are at risk of losing their jobs.

And no one has steak and lobster dinners. Where do you guys get this information?

Another highly, grossly inaccurate statement.

Instead of you guys pointing the finger at the union, which is fighting very hard to help this pilot group and claiming that noone cares about you, you should vent your frustration elsewhere; like at, oh let's say, management.

Hopefully you guys know that you are fully able to walk into the MEC office anytime and look at the books. Instead of believing outlandish rumors, why don't some of you go in and look for yourselves?
