By the way, have you ever tried Quaker Steak & Lube up in your neck of the woods? Love it.

I still have flyndive's cd's to return too.
Ya... QS&L is overrated and the hillbilly biker crowd always seems to descend there. A few months ago, I pulled into their parking lot and about 30 seconds later about 100 bikes pulled up in formation and went inside... needless to say, we decided to go missed and head to our alternate.

I believe thursday is reduced cost boneless wing night and tuesday is reduced cost boned wing night.

Ya.. FlyNdive prolly needs his CD back... last time I saw him, he was huddled in the corner rocking back and forth mumbling something about the trolls that took his flight sim... and you know after a reduced rest max duty day there is nothing more that a Comair pilot wants to do than shoot inverted ILS approaches in a 737.

I actually like QS&L. We blend in with the rednecks there like a gazelle in the veldt...but BW3 is always good too (especially .49 Tuesdays)

That's funny about flyndive. I just recovered from 3 straight days sitting locked in a fetal position screaming "AUTOPILOT ON!!!" over and over. I'm scarred for life after my recent sim experience.

Reduced rest? I'm on max rest. Total block for Oct: 5.2 hours

Just make something up and see how long it takes to get back around to you. Make up your own rumor; maybe something off your wish list, like we are getting those new Russian Sukhoi Regional Jets or we will have 33 hour overnights in Las Vegas for December.

That's what everyone else does. Otherwise, it's all speculation and if you want to keep your blood pressure down enough to pass your next medical, I'd steer well clear of this particular thread. But if you're a sucker for the dramatic and thrive on 100% made up bull crap stories like most of us on here, have at it.

ASAP -- still pending
D.S. -- still enemy #1
Comair Liquidation -- doubtful
Furlough Length -- who knows
Growth Potential -- depends on fuel, economics and "management" (i call them high school hall monitors)
Mesaba/Comair Integration -- very possible

ASAP program: Will probably be fixed ASAP; Until then, ASRS

DS: Still sucks

JS moving to FL: Probably... I doubt he wants his timeshare in Boca to go unused.

Comair Liquidation: Probably not, unless of course we are acquired by Bayside Management... which likes to liquidate airlines.

Furlough Length: Who knows... it will probably largely depend on how junior you are on furlough. I think they will recall some (40-50?) in first quarter 09 and maybe some more in the third quarter... unless we get some more flying, it will be slow.

Growth Potential: Well... If JS and DS take some Viagra we might see some growth.

Mesaba and Comair integration: This seems likely, but like everything else... nobody knows.

i appreciate it. im not on furlough...i've been w/ comair for aprrox. 4 years. i feel bad for all you guys that got laid off. i was part of the first round a couple years ago and i feel your pain. i do read a ton of rumors on here, but over my past couple of years at this company i have realized that although a lot of them don't ever materialize...well some of them do. its the reason i like to read this forum. i didnt start reading it until our mec left and was replaced. i knew from that point on that a lot was going to change and i wanted to stay informed. thanks for all.

I FEEL CHEATED!!! I was all excited about going to my mailbox today and receiving my F.U.C. Kit. But no joy???

Anyway, speaking of spreading rumors, I heard from a Captain today that he heard from a Check Airman who works the sims who was told by his Saturday Morning Racquetball Chief Pilot buddy that we are supposed to receive 1/250 of a CRJ 900 in mid 2018. It's not official yet, but it's looking good guys! Supposedly it has the Horizon paint scheme and we will be operating it out of Yellowknife Yukon Territory for Air Canada's new startup airline!! Maybe the furloughs will avoid us with this great news!!

Anyway, I guess the Chief who started this rumor took it straight from the horses mouth as he was down at a mall in Tampa where he and J.S. were having their picture taken (together).
