I was out by about 2-230; heard similar times for other classes.

Anyway here is my question, regarding Unemployment Benefits. Do we file in the state we live in (says must be employed in the state of FL) or in NY because that is my base or in Northern By God Kentucky because that is our company address?

Your unemployment check will be delayed until further notice, DUE TO STAFFING!!
I'm really sorry Heading180, I cannot answer any of your questions due to staffing.

I agree their lines should be built to no more than the max line value, but during the course of the month, there could be additional assignments, office work, and other things that add to line value without picking up open time. For every week they get taken off their regular line for a week of line checks or office work, they get paid something like 30 hrs. That's usually more than you'll get with any 4 or 5 day trip.

Just curious, but how do you know a check airman has more than the max line value if you can't see their line?

It is supposed to be re-distributed back to the pilot group. We will see...

Just go ahead and file in whatever state you live and pay local taxes in. I live in CT and was able to successfully file and recieved a check about a week and a half after the initial file. Granted the unemployment isn't nearly enough to survive, but its better than nothing.

I don't mean to brag, because it's actually pitiful... but I got a slight "raise" with my unemployment benefits in KY. Due to my previous income before coming to Comair, I qualified for the maximum amount of benefits. $415/wk in KY. If I could arrange for continued insurance benefits with Comair, I'd have a pretty decent life for the next 5 months job hunting. Yes, I am job hunting.

He showed me a print out of his line and showed me how his line was built.
