Well, alrighty then. So, was that money given to basically say "thanks for not voting in a union, so heres a "raise". Curious about the amount, with the "18 month freeze" adjusted for COLA, was it really a raise?
Also, as much as it was a "raise", was it used to help ASA from getting anything industry leading and to just keep them "average"?

As for your ASA question, I don't know but ASA gained a lot more in their TA than a few $ here and there. The Majority (CR2 & ATR CA’s especially) of their pilots ended up with huge raises while others not so huge. But all of them gained valuable pay structure and soft pay that they never had before. We can debate it one way or the other and although their TA wasn't industry leading, it did match industry leading. I’m not saying that it was right or wrong, good or bad, but it was approved by a very large margin.

Everyone,
I just deleted two posts that started to debate politics. While we recognize the November elections will have an impact on all of our lives, there are other more suitable venues to debate these issues. APC's TOS does not permit political discussion.
If you have any questions on this policy, please send a PM to HSLD or Freight Dog. Thanks!

Topics Not for Discussion
There are currently NO forums that provide a venue for discussing politics or religion. While DreamLaunch Media Ltd. and Airline Pilot Central embrace the diversity the world has to offer, these subjects often are very emotional and there are many different views. In our experience the wide range of views and emotions rarely contribute to a harmonious online community or beneficial contributions to the piloting profession.

If you mean the raise to bring you up to ASA pay, you're wrong.
ASA pilots negotiated the payrates and workrules for both parties. Unfortunately the SkyWest pilots benefited from our work without giving any support in return.

If you mean the BS 1% raise for CRJ and nothing for EMB guys, you're right.

I mean no offense, just correcting your errors.

Wrong and you're giving your CBA way too much credit. Our new pay rates were voted in due to the failed union vote and yes ASA's new pay rates and only their pay rates, as well as everyone else’s were used in the process. But WE’VE HAD YOUR NEW WORK RULES FOR ALMOST A DECADE now and you just got them.
I mean no offense, just correcting your errors.

How about 700 pay for vacation, training, and guarantee?
How about a seat lock that doesn't apply to aircraft that pay more?
How about turning a week of vacation into 12-14 days straight?
Oh yeah, and we don't have PBS. If we do get it, our union will demand that we share in the cost savings for the company by getting a pay raise or better work rules.
There's more, but I won't bore you with all the details. You fail to understand that work rules encompass more than just min day pay and rigs.

No because we aren’t stuck flying one set of equipment. Basically this means more efficiency when it comes to pairings and your month. More flying means more to choose from which means better QOL and a choice which we all want. So you can have those few $ and I’ll take my more flying with a choice. Am I 100% happy with what we have...........no and I woould like a CHO instead of a BHO. BTW, do you like 100% of your contract.
Yes, since 1972.
Note sarcasm that you’ll never understand. Easily done. I just turned 8 days of vacation in to 17 off.

Good day and this pi$$ing match is over.
