Mainly from friends who know the guy in DFW who runs the vacancy bid and then passes along the results before they get posted on jetnet. Eaglelounge is usually the first place they show up in public though.

A couple of questions... 1) How long from call to interview these days? 2) How long from interview to class? 3) What is the training schedule like for ERJ and location for each training event? 4) Heard a whisper of at home computer based training similar to Compass school for the first part of training. Any truth to that? 5) What is life as a FO ORD ERJ pilot for the first year or two like? I know sitting reserve but I need more details... Thanks to all replies in advance. I appreciate your effort to answer my questions!

Well I'm in training right now.

1. I got the call 3 weeks after my interview
2. Took me 2 months from interview to class
3. Training schedule for ERJ:
-1 week in indoc
-1 week of CBT in your home
-1 week of CBT in AA Academy
-1 week of ground school
-I think after that is Written & Oral test
-Couple of days in CSI (cockpit systems integration)
-Sims
-Checkride
-Aloft training
4. We are the second group taking the CBT. I don't know about Compass but it's pretty nice the CBT.
5. I can't tell you since I'm not yet in the line. Hehehehehe

I'm in my 1 week of CBT in home so if something is missing in the schedule I apologize.

There you go..the thread is ON again.

Figured it wasn't worth another thread... thought i'd ask here.

I'm currently a reservist for the Air Force and will be for a while... think this could hurt my employment opportunities with any regional? Kinda concerns me that it would
