If I am not mistaken XJ furloughees did not have to interview for their jobs... while I can appreciate the fact that you work just like everyone else you were in effect... given a job. Everybody at Colgan has been worked to the bone for the last year so I am sorry but I have zero pity for you.

I just find it amazing that there are actually pilots that defend the "Pinnacle holding company" (you didn't buy us your holding company did)especially when some of the same pilots have been the vicitms of a holding company!

I think that no matter how this all works out, a majority of people at Pinnacolaba, Mesaganicle, Colabicle??? will actually be in a better position than they were when it started. We are at a stable company that is expanding and hiring. A contract will come (eventually) and with it will be better working rules with better pay.

As for seniority list integration:

My concern now is actually ending up behind people who were furloughed when this little buy out happened. By my math, roughly 10% of the Mesaba pilots were on furlough. I am roughly 10% up the Pinnacle list. At this point I am a line holder FO and would like to remain a line holder FO. A relative seniority integration method may just push me back to reserve so that a person who didn't even have a job, can now be a line holder. Someone please explain to me how that is even close to being fair.

Your guy's pay is not that high. You had an offer and shot it down. Therefore your rates are current book. It is hard to say that you guys have certain improvements when it is only TAed sections. Even your TAed rates are pretty poor to compare to ours. You are comparing a new contract to our concessionary contract. Its pretty sad when a bankruptcy judge will give us better rates than much of your TAed rates.

It is pretty sad, isn't it. Fighting over something like SLI when only 9 people have a say in how it will be done, not really worth the heartache.

Wise words sometimes fall on deaf ears... the conflict gives people something to do whilst wasting away on long overnights... I simply wish mountain man beards were permissable at work... I think comparing beard length, thickness, and density would be a better topic than pay rates, seniority integration, and career expectations. Of course I say this with a bit of humor... but it would be pretty interesting in my opinion. Have a great day y'all!

We had a lot to look forward to before this deal. Do not think we are jumping for joy because we got bought by Pinnalce Corp.
Dang son you are supposed to sip the koolaid not chug it. Anyone who thinks they had a lot to look forward to at mesaba had way to much koolaid to drink and even had their koolaid goggles on. Flow through was going away. Delta didnt want it anymore. The Saabs were on their way out the door. The 200's mesaba had would have been next on the chopping block along with comair's 200s. Selling mesaba off was the easy way out.

I also think all the furloughed and future furloughees were very happy and jumping for joy to know the weren't losing their pay, health coverage, or that they would be getting those things back. Your all welcome After all it could have been transtates. Now hopefully we can get a good contract for us all.

And in another post you mentioned pay rates. Mesaba pay rates aren't much better than pinnacle. Especially when you all pay 3 to 20 times as much as us for healthcare.

This has got to be the most pathetic thread in the history of APC....what are you guys bickering about!?!? Buyouts/Mergers happen...get over it!!! Some win and some lose...I swear with most of you (not all) this must be the first job you have ever held cause you act like rookies to the corporate world. This thread started as a "countdown"...now it's turned into a "battleground" and management is sitting back laughing because they know they hired a bunch of kids that are easily manipulated. They don't want us to unite. PNCL operates on a divide and conquer strategy. There is no team play what so ever within this company...Pilots vs Management....Pilots vs Dispatch....Pilots vs Scheduling....Management pushing fear into your hearts that you may lose you job. I believe in standing for what you believe in....but not against your own team. Stop The Bickering!!!! Grow Up!!!! And last but not least UNITE!!!!!

lol...I can grow a mean fu-man-chu. I'm on my 6th day off right now and I look like a Jetblue pilot now. I would love to grow it enough to look like a kung-fu master.
