I don't think it would be unreasonable to say that the majority of FO's at all three airlines will be flying in a Q someday. It's in everyone's best interest to protect that which will feed you.

Okay, I have read the executive summary now. As I understand it, the dual qual is exactly as I stated. However I am not a lawyer. Would you care to elaborate on your version of how this works and how exactly I am wrong?

How is this possible? I think you are greatly exaggerating. How man Qs do you have right now? Don't tell me about options or orders or anything but planes on property right now.

From the way I read it, we CAN have dual qual, but there's language there that the specifics must be worked out before it happens. What management wanted for dual qual under 9E's TA1 was "Agree we'll do it, and we'll work out the details later." Reading what the summary says, it sounds like the door is still open for dual qual, but things like staffing, pay rates and training must be worked out before it happens. If it goes to arbitration, the agreement limits the arbitrator to certain things, and all of it must be down and in writing in the form of an LOA before anyone gets dual qualed.

An entire negotiation process must commence. All the agreement secured is areas that CANNOT be arbitrated.

Just curious the 10.1 mil signing bonus for 9E pilots; is that split equally between all 9E pilots? Because that would be over 8000 per pilot.

no it is based on a percentage of w2 earnings or combo w2/ longevity since may '05, whichever gets you the most.

very few senior CA's are getting 30k. I'm in the top 15% and I'm getting about 8500, others around me are getting 8000-11000 that I've talked to. it's not like everyone with a seniority better than 300 is taking home a new lexus.

And with mesaba's contract, colgan stands to see 5-7 dollar an hour increases. No soft pay will possibly compare to that.
Wrong. You woulf be amazed how much money you can LOSE with weak soft pay language. There have been months where I have lost 10-12 hours due to cancellations, deadheads etc.

Colgan still stands to see significant pay increases in the range you spoke of ($5-7), so I'm not quite sure what you are up in arms about... other than MSA guys didn't want to take a paycut so we could see more of a payraise.
Exactly. You can have the best payrate in the industry but weak soft money language (cancellations, premium pay etc) and that payrate won't mean squat.
