Mesaba's dispute?

A vacancy won't matter. The SLI will not be effective the day it's issued. If it's anything involving DOH in the award- it doesn't matter, relative- doesn't matter, seats- doesn't matter since it's based on historical and planned crews per plane. There is no attempt at a delay. 1 member of the Cmte was in Mexico (on a trip) that the company wouldn't cover. The rest of the committee was working on making sure "the company's" list is 100% correct AND the discrepancies (such as missing pilots) are addressed. "missing" to include pilots that have a grievance pending for a termination or other situation that removed/removes them from the list. Everyone wants this done but there are issues that must be worked out before sent off. My source still says this should be all done today, albeit late.
Maybe we can have this list prior to the weekend.

As I understand it, last week all three merger committees were supposed to provide a new list. All three did, apparently there were errors on the list that 9E promptly fixed and submitted.
So, how much can change in one week? I think that you mentioned in a post that some guys were in union preceding and your guys are making sure that they are counted or something like that.
Is it just that we are waiting for the 9E merger guys to get together in a room and certify this?
Do XJ and 9L SLI guys have a similar process, or was the timing as such that those two SLI committees were not flying?
This just seems weird that their is a delay.

All sides can find reasons to point fingers, lay blame, and trash talk due to disagreement. All 3 sides are working for their pilots and trying their hardest. I don't see any side trying to sabotage this. Bloch knows what's up and gets the updates. We all need this "correct" in the end. If that takes until 6/2, so be it. The first list had errors from the company side and disputes from other parties. Now it can all be done and in bloch's hands.
Take a chill pill.
In the end Bloch creates the list. No mud slinging, internet tough guy, or name calling will change that.

You can't rush success, but you can blame a lack of success on a rush.
Patience. Nobody is dragging this out. The vacancy has nothing to do with the sli, it's small and more for moving pilots between bases (NH's and base hour changes). There will remain operational fences and most likely list fences regardless. It's easy to pass blame, but let the people do their jobs as fast as they can, as well as they can.

I'm sure you would be perfectly happy on day 4 of a trip having just flown 6 legs today and now have an 8 hour reduced rest, spending 4 hours of that rest going over an SLI so a bunch of disgruntled internet folks who will blame you no matter what can see their list 1 day sooner....or probably not since you didn't volunteer to do it for your airline.

We just got a good update from our merger committee that shed some light on the situation. Bloch asked the three committees for a current list AS OF JUNE 1. You can't submit a June 1 list before June 1, although apparently that's what the other two airlines did. I guess if you have no turnover then you can, but at least at 9E turnover can occur daily so we had to wait till the last minute to ensure the accuracy that Bloch wanted.
Our committee received the June 1 list yesterday afternoon and will have it off to Bloch tonight.

Higney, is it true that your MEC chairman was on the list of 7 (or so) pilots who had their seniority date altered by 7+ months?
Mesaba people say yes.
Again what I keep hearing is the 9E is holding up your SLI. I know you don't like to hear it.
