IMO, this is yet another thing upper management didn't even think about when all this went down. I'm sure they'll choose to put these pilots in the LAST training class possible hoping they make it to the 1000/100 mark. Tough to do when you're starting with some of these guys in the mid-200 to low 300s in total time, though.

What about the guys that would be holding that position but can't because the sub 1000/100 guys are still in the position? Will they just overstaff that position until they can effectively displace them or will the guys not flying their awarded position receive bypass pay?

Since when does a seniority based system create favors for a specific group?
Also what about the guys in LGA who have less than 1000/100 goin to IAD? They cant park it on the jet to buildtime and XJ Saabs go bye bye soon...

FWIW I was placed into a 9L class with 900/700 (about 500 turbine) So the mins. can be relaxed a little but I believe the 100 ME is the one they will not budge on. I was hired on the XJ side but was approved to be placed into a 9L class. I am sure I'll get the 50 hours of OE but it does sound as if there is wiggle room on a per candidate basis (at least what I was told by XJ HR, had to be approved by VP of Ops at 9L).
Also, does anyone know the move date for 11-09 yet?

Well I happen to be one of those bridge people. So they are just going to make us sit here and wait till the 200 opens back up, or actually send us a furlough letter. I guess they will let us just float around in the pool. I can't understand how their is more info given by people on here then what is actually told to the people who gave up their jobs, moved out of town, and now sleeping in a back room just to keep flying. I think we deserve a little more communication.
But like they say "everything happens for a reason"

I should say that you would probably know best, but then again I'm familiar with 9E and the communication (or lack there of) from those in cubicles. For what it's worth I heard yesterday from an instructor that you guys were on paid leave for now and that there were only about 6 of you so they may not be in the biggest hurry to figure this out unfortunatly for your sake.

I think he was referring to 6 people who had already finished training and were already on payroll. Obviously they won't pay anyone who hasn't yet started class.
