They really need Q guys, but if you hold out, youll get the 170. Theres a republic 170 class startin tomorrow and Ord for the AA flying will prob open in the fall. Good luck and if you interview, dont let them talk you into the Q unless you want it.

Well I heard that they are now waiving the Q seat lock for F/Os... not that it would help a new hire since you would have no seniority to transition.... just another slap in the face to senior jet F/Os....

...and a bait-and-switch to get people in the door. If movement happens as predicted by some, this won't be an issue...if it doesn't, in two years RJET will find some "loophole" to keep people from swapping equipment.

most junior 170 ca is now may of 07
training seems to be back on
I think q and 170 in that order are their priorities plus they can always "allow" f/o's to cross certs as they see fit
seat locks seem to be waived pretty liberally when company wants it

ymmv

1 reason, and 1 reason only I'd go to a different company... an ORD base. However, I won't leave my sure thing here at 3M until something else is set in stone.... pickin' up what i'm throwing down?

EDIT: Flying longer routes, and actually having a cruise, in a sweet plane wouldn't be so bad. I could actually drink my coffee, and not just have it end up on my lap... B1900 life for the win...
