Pretty sure this happened:
"Staffing Shortage Update
PSA management has recently taken a number of actions in an attempt to mitigate the pilot staffing shortage. First, management denied or canceled all Association leave for January, February, and March. Second, this weekend, management decided to hold four pilots at PSA indefinitely rather than allow them to begin a class at US Airways in March."
Flow through agreements will be violated as necessary to maintain staffing levels at regionals with training bubbles and new aircraft coming online. Expect to see much more of this in the future. They will never let those planes park due to staffing. That's bad business.

I certainly do not. I operate a part 91 flight department having left the airlines. I found that I have pricing power in 91 ops. I can actually negotiate my wage and benefits based on worth, value, professionalism, and execution...not fear. Don't like my wage? Network like crazy, get new skills and ratings, and find a new boss.
I never understand why the "me and my family" crowd join a unionized industry/workforce. Airlines unions are about collective good. Part 91 is about "me and my family" since there is no collective bargaining...just good old fashioned negotiation. You want to fly for a ridiculous wage in 91 ops? Well, there are plenty of cheap operators with a perfect job for you. Want to command a decent wage? There are those ops out there too. But, joining a union industry and blabbing about "protecting me and mine"? Seems a little backwards don't you think?

PDT, you guys just don't get it!! You think you have a great flow thru, just wait until your like PSA and they stop it and cancel you vacations. Yah you might have received a pay raise but that because you flying a Jet not a prop. Wait tip your insurance rate rise then that whole pay raise will be gone. You still make an industry low wage and at you 10 yr top out, I'm making that at year 4 flying less people. 77% of you voted for it but once you see all the holes in your contract, just like PSA nobody will admit they voted for it.

Piedmont Airlines per APC has 382 pilots.
PSA Airlines per APC has 738.
Total of 1120 pilots.
PSA was awarded the contract for CRJ900s on 11/2/2013
source:http://www.ainonline.com/aviation-ne...ts-fly-crj900s.
In ELEVEN months of solid hiring, they have only been able to manage to grow their list by approximately 300 pilots.
That's 27 a month actually making it through training on average.
50% washout rate! (which is exactly what i've heard from multiple sources that they are getting)
Hardly stellar growth considering they CLAIM to have 50-60 in their classes each and every month.
American Eagle Airlines per 9/12 alpa seniority list has 2504 pilots on property
ExpressJet Airlines per APC has 4633 pilots
Republic Airlines per APC has 3000 pilots
That's 10137 pilots that have said NOPE
1100 pilots taking it in the rear to save their own hides is only 10% of our total size, even after having the opportunity to grow for an entire year.
Management wants this to scare you and clearly the weak willed folks are buying into these fear tactics with the garbage that's being spewed on this website.
Stay the course people!!!

PDT pilots would never see the street to protect other groups that were never there for them. 2017 almost half the fleet times out. You don't like it? Too eff'ing bad. For ONCE PDT pilots did what they had to do for themselves.

This post is filled with either completely untrue statements or statements that are not outright lies but are still nowhere near the truth.
I think you might have a future as a politician.

Apparently you can't read or you actually never read the two deals. But that's ok. Make it up as you go along, makes you sound kinda smart.

Do you think we liked it? It was a sh!t sandwich vs diarrhea. Both options sucked. It was mediocre at best. There was nothing great about it. I am disappointed in my pilot group but we all had the option to vote and I stand by their decision whether I like it or not. What was your solution? PDT as an airline was closing in 2017 due to FAA limitations, not contracts expiring or leases coming up for renewal. We have 37 aircraft in service now and 9 gone by 2017 and more continuing to be parked in 2018. It doesn't make business sense to keep the airline open for 29. Those are facts, not fear.
Oh and someone asked earlier about the contract amendments in 2018 and 2022, all items are fair game. Both the association and the company can negotiate 5 items (that includes rates) and if a decision can not be reached after 120 days we enter 90 days for binding arbitration with an arbitrator.
