Hi PSA Pilots, I recently accepted an offer at Republic (for the potential $40/hr) and am considering TSA and PSA for the very quick upgrade. Would someone hired soon be able to have a quick upgrade? What is the split between CRJ 200 vs CRJ 700 Vs. 900 flying? Any chances of Embararrer 175's coming on to property soon? Thanks, maybe I'll be seeing you all soon.

There is no such thing as a "very quick upgrade" if you have no prior 121 experience. You need 1000 hours of 121 time before you're even eligible to upgrade. And even then, you may not be ready to upgrade.

The quickest upgrade possible for you is around 18-24 months no matter where you go to work.

You are fat FO's and lean Captains, correct? Their excuse sounds entirely plausible if that is the case.

It takes a month to upgrade a captain.

If the bodies are on property they are on property. There are at least 100 FOs right now that flat out refuse to upgrade due to ridiculously terrible reserve rules and poor treatment from crew scheduling.

Also, we have enough captains for the amount of acft we have on property. The "leanness" so to speak is purely due to crazy inefficient schedules and nit picky micro managing of reserves.

So no, their excuse is not plausible.

Exactly. When I was on reserve I would fly 6 hour four day trips while flights were canceling due to "staffing"

Whats wrong with my username? I'm just trying to make a good decision to get to the Capt. seat as fast as possible.

On behalf of my brethren PSA pilots, allow me to suggest that you either stay at RAH or go to TSA.

That is not very nice. I had head that thats why everyone went to PSA lately for the quick upgrade? Why is it any different if I want to be a Capt. fast too?

That's not what he's saying. You don't want to come to this abuse. It's one thing to come upgrade, but you're going to hate sitting reserve as a captain forever. Also, you seem young. Do you really want to destroy any chance of going to American mainline someday? The other two offer quick upgrades AND a fair shot at all three legacies. PSA doesn't. We're doing you a favor, whether you want to see out or not.
