There is so much movement in the regional industry that no one can do better than guess what will happen in the next 2-3 years. Things can change overnight. The "guaranteed" flow can turn to crap in a heartbeat, and the loser airline can be the next golden child.
Pick a place that has domiciles that work for you, offer a decent quality of life, and one that is not on the verge of bankruptcy. Other than that, everything is a guess. We only know half of what is going on. The management holds the cards, and they don't even know exactly what is going to happen.
Republic could tank, and there is no telling what could happen next. Air Wisconsin may not get a new contract extension. MESA could vote down their TA and lose AA flying. PSA could implode due to terrible management. (Envoy will likely be a great place...just ask Cujo).
No one knows what is going to happen, most of all, pilots.

But to reiterate your main point, there's going to be so much movement in the industry moving forward that there isn't anyone out there (and I include Anderson, Smisek, and Parker on that list) that know what this industry is going to look like in 5 years.
Personally, it would not surprise me to see 76 seat aircraft on mainline certificates, but that's as far as I go into speculation.

Their sop's are just crazy, having the captain verify vspeeds while he is taxiing instead of doing it at the gate,a ridiculous 2 paragraph taxi brief that you have to memorize verbatim, numerous times where the poh says one thing and the fom says something different. Not to mention the 8 to 10 months it takes to get through their training pipeline.
And it's never been "8 to 10 months." More like 5-6, which is still way too long. Lots of guys have been getting 3 month paid vacations though, so there's that.
Also, that was just painful to read.

I have a friend that works for Psa in Dayton at the training center. He basically told me the same thing.AAG wants a hub base, chicago,Miami,Philly.Psa's brilliant management dosen't want that, they want a base in Nashville or Cincinnati or expand the Knoxville base, which makes no sense at all he said.As mentioned in previous posts, the management of Psa will be it's demise.
They dont have any clue as to what they are doing. From the training dept to top management, someone needs to clean house Inn my opinion. If you go there, get your time and get out before it implodes.Unless they make a lot of changes to their antiquated way of thinking,it's bound to happen. This industry is changing faster than they can adapt to.

Eh, while I agree a lot of the checklist sequence between the gate and the runway could really be better structured (the V speeds in particular), I've yet to come across a "2 paragraph taxi brief."

Also, the "2 paragraph taxi brief" is there for a reason I'm sure everyone knows about.

I don't think 3 years is overly optimistic for someone hired in 2015. Also, I have heard there is currently a lot of unpleasantness between AAG management and PSA management. As far as the base announcement, I think it will be DCA. But who really knows at this point. And I think everyone's goal with any regional is to get out before it implodes.

If they're going to put Takeoff Data in the After Start they should put the control check in the Taxi check, and call it a day.

I think 8 to 10 months is more realistic, according to my sources. What about the 50-75 guys who didn't get their 100hrs consolidation after their pc and had to go back and retake their pc?
Poor planning in my opinion, all on mgmt.
Psa will take the simplest task and make it the most ridiculous thing in the world with all of their bs.
In addition, Tsa,Republic and Awac will all most likely reject TA's with much higher pay than what you have.Looks like Mesa will reject theirs as well ,waiting for something better and I believe Gojet will follow suit. All Other regional so are increasing pay or offering huge bonuses.
If all of this comes to fruition, Psa may very well be the lowest compensated regional after all is said and done.I'll bet those shiny new rj's don't look so great now, looking at what you could have possibly gained.
