Why don't you try respecting the opinions of others?
Are you saying it is a fact that nothing will change?

Really? You've been through bankruptcy a few times and know everything about CBA's? What flight schools did you work at that had a union for instructors and go bankrupt? And if you think that is the same as Endeavor's situation, well I can't help you there. You do realize one of the reasons a Delta had to give this longevity payment to keep people there was because of them having them go bankrupt 2 years ago to get out of their new CBA don't you? You really think they will be allowed to declare bancrupcy twice in less than 6 years solely to get rid of that payment??
If they can find a way to meet the requirements to file another bankruptcy, then yes they very easily could. However, I'm not seeing that in their plans at this point and that would absolutely defeat the whole purpose of giving the retention bonus. If Delta put Endeavor into bankruptcy again now, I doubt anything would keep enough pilots around to fly any planes. They might as well just shut off the lights and save the costs of filing.

That's basically my point, if they do one more thing to p.o. this pilot group (and future new hires) the mass exodus will start again. But let's not act like delta has no intention of paying out the longevity. They have to. And 80% of the people on here that say we won't get it don't even know it's an LOA, they think it is just some memo put out.

Guys,
For those of us who have been in the industry for more than 5 years think back to 5 years ago. This is akin to the industry running around screaming the sky is falling". Well it is, take the time it takes to go from student pilot to the right seat of a RJ. Compare that to the average notice give to quit. Lets be real, anyone who wanted to be an airline pilot is already in the chain, for all the guys out there who say "I'd be there if the money was better" lets be real, almost no one comes into this industry for the money. Is a lifestyle job, you either like/tolerate it or you don't and quit. If there was ever a time, with a better future in this industry its now, so either the "I'd be there" guys cannot either read the forums and/or recruiting propaganda means they cant/don't really want to be here. With regionals offering 80K retention bonuses, the new reason they won't be here is they can't do reserve, it will always be something. Reality check, this job isn't for everyone, and for the most part anyone who wants to be here, is. Industry take note, you have spent the last 50 years making this job miserable, congratulations, its the only thing you have achieved. Now you are reaping the fruits of your efforts.
