The alternative is to let the airline shrink and die. BB won't give you what you deserve and I think the pilot group has had enough of his crap. A strike is a temporary interruption in service. Liquidation is permanent. Stand your ground guys. The fact that his highness blames everyone but himself for this mess proves he is unfit to run the company. Hopefully the shareholders see that.

If BB wants to impose a contract on you then he would need to be released as well. Works both ways. Either way you would be free for self help.

Oh you're funny. Do some research on the railway labor act. You'll find that your hands are pretty much tied. Also the only way they can impose a contract on you is through bankruptcy. And even then it has to go through the bankruptcy judge. This has happened at least three times during this last decade. It's not that hard to look up the specifics

Release - Determination by the NMB that parties are at impasse and should be released to strike, impose final offer or otherwise engage in self help.
