Was this in response to me? Because if a few months after upgrade I'm magically a lifer CA, I'm surprised.

I don't support a LOA that attracts people to this place. I do support a LOA that pays people that have suffered the most at RAH, Tier 3 FOs. If a pilot came here after the website, AOPA ads and constant banter on web forums, then I'm not inclined to give up leverage to support a pay raise for them. That said, anyone already on property should get the raise, just not new pilots.

Nope that was directed at loony! I agree with the raise being directed at the tier 3 FOs, but i would imagine most of those are close to upgrade anyway. Also it would hope any LOA would require a end to the hiring bonus.

I wouldn't worry too much about the new hires. I was looking to fly a larger aircraft so did the RAH interview. The first 30 minutes consisted of telling me how much Mesa sucks followed by another 30 minutes of how PSA is worse. One hour in, I still know nothing about what RAH is looking for then they try to buy me off with a signing bonus. Not to be out done, I tried to get info from a crew on the way out and I was called a scab for asking and was informed that the company owed the pilots 44 million and they would burn the place down if they didn't get it. If your stategy was to chase away new hires...you are the winners.

btw

PSA exagerated their future oportunity but Mesa...a total class act. If fact, the only reason I applied at Mesa and PSA was because of the behavior of the RAH employees as a whole.

Good luck boys....

Everything you said about your interview experience sounds par for the course here. I seriously doubt a RAH crew called you a scab for interviewing and asking questions on your way out...especially if the interview was in Indy hahah

The repubs pilots have the most leverage of anyone in the industry! The time to make a stand is now, there is no threat of being downsized. BB has to give you whatever y'all want because he has already committed to AA and UA to do the flying. The contracts are signed, it's not like they could take it back if you don't take concessions...etc. You have BB by the b*lls because he wants a new tennis court at his house and already committed to the flying!
