No LOA, who does that benefit? The company and new hires. Nothing in it for existing employees. Even you can see 7 years is ridiculous right?

Bedford tried instituting an FO pay scale a few years ago only to be shot down by the union. He figured that since there has been a 50% turn over he might try it again. This is not negotiating in good faith. I hope you all eventually get released, it would be great to see him lose control and the BOD give him what he deserves.

A little off topic and I apologize, however what's the average amount of credit time Shuttle America pilots are getting per month on reserve and line holding.
I have been debating between 2 different airlines, both of which I have upcoming classes for and I cant figure out what to do. I am trying to get as much info as possible. Thank you

Rubbish TA to remain so for the long term thrown at us by the ALD. What an insult. It's good to see our own NC actually making moves to hold the companies feet to the fire. BB has publically stated the FO rate needs to improve. Either way the company respond to this I see as a successful move by our team. It will be voted on by the pilot group -- or it will allow our NC to continue to develop the story that this company is not interested in negotiating (as if it's not painfully obvious already).

Wouldn't it be easier to just hammer out a contract real quick? I mean its only been seven years. At some point the pilots are going to be allowed to strike and then your going to get your contract or just close down.

Unfortunately no. The company wont even meet with the nc at the moment. Nothing the union can do to fix that. The nmb will never authorize a strike, which is why the company wont play ball. As far as closing down, thats a dream world. There will always be pilots looking for work, at least in the short term. Management is parking almost 70 planes in 2 years to maintain staffing. They dont see a new contract as a solution. Until they do, nothing will change.
