Quote: Looking at the new work rules, what can we expect a 3,4 or 5 day trip to be worth. I believe most pilots would like to get 6 hours a day to fill up quickly, but I believe that is not possible to do with trip rig only. Pay is important, but the trips determine your QOL. Looks like 3 day trips can be worth as little as 13:30. Not good.[/B]
Well, currently a 3 day trip can be worth about 11:30 or less. Look at the 3 day Hawaii trips out of LA and SEA. I have a 3 day HNL trip next month that pays 11:37. Under the new rule it would pay 13:30. Not perfect but about 2 hours better than it is now.

I'm leaning towards no right now but not for this reason.

oops
Just saw the fine print: "does not include inflation" Ouch!

How ironic... the devil is in the details!

A three day trip with 3 duty periods will be the same as they are now. However, if you only fly one leg MSP-RAP, 30 hr layover, and then MSP-RAP. That trip will be worth 13:30 instead of 10:30.

Wrong. If there is a flight segment in each day, the min is 5:15, or 15:45 per day. Some 3 day trips that end with an allnighter but start that last segment the night before are worth 11 hours or less. Now those same trips that were worth 11 hours before, would be worth 13:30, an improvement. Most West Coast allnighters to NYC, ATL, MSP and DTW (from ANC), and 3 days to Hawaii are all worth around 11 hours now in the current contract.

SWA gets 6:30 a min/day. 19:30 for a 3 day trip vs 13;30. We can do better than this. Live in base and this might be acceptable. Commuting to fly 13:30 trips will have you working 17 days on for a 75 hour month.

One suggestion I had in my survey was a 5 hr min day for domestic and a 6+hr one for international.

One good move by this NC was to keep the new FTDT off the table. We're going to have more opportunities to negotiate this type of item.

Of course, some already shiver to wonder how much we'll pay for this...

"Okay guys, how much are you willing to give up to get these new FAA mandated FTDT rules? I say it's worth 70 more CRJ-900s to replace MD8... 5 more CRJ-200s."

Just talking pay rates

Quote: I don't believe the FO differences in pay 2004 and 2015 rates (red numbers) are correct on the dollar amount.
I'll take a look at it. And I did have the FO number off for some reason because 5/1/2004 should be $162.12. The $140.40 should still be right, I'll go back and check the table to double check the calculation.

I apologize if it's off.
