PBS trips for pilots with training. Don't think adtg will help you in training? Last I checked we don't do training in our new largest base, LAX. Here is an actual 1 day training event for a pilot having to go to MSP/STL that takes 3 days to complete. Without the adtg it pays 12:00, with 14:15. For a 2 day event, you could encompass 4 days. Without the adtg it pays 16:00, with 19:00.

Mon DH 2168 LAX-MSP 1305 1841 0253 Duty Credit :0400
Tue MSP-MSP 0830 1700 Training Credit: 0400
Wed DH 2168 MSP-LAX 0917 1130 0322 Duty Credit 0400
T.A.F.B.: 4710
Total Duty/Trip Credit: 1200
adtg additive: 0215
Total Trip Credit with ADTG: 1415

But you know this will never happen with all the pilots out in LAX. They will never have to train.
Here is an actual 2 day training event for a pilot having to go to msp/stl that takes 4 days to complete. Without the adtg it pays 16:00, with 19:00.

Tue dh 1668 lax-msp 1510 2048 0254 duty credit :0400
Wed msp-msp 1800 0000 0400 training credit: 0400
Thu msp-msp 1800 0000 0400 training credit: 0400
Fri dh 1219 msp-lax 1439 1640 0313 duty credit: 0400
t.a.f.b.: 7415
total duty/trip credit: 1600
adtg additive: 0300
total trip credit with adtg: 1900
Quote: What are reserve times for lax looking like for someone who has an early February class?
Maybe 1 month, but most likely you'll have a line right out of the gate in LAX. Depends if you finish IOE right before bidding opens or right after.
Quote: I'm confused.
Why don't I get a call from Compass for an interview? I applied 2 times in the past 2 years and never got a single call.

-no arrest history
-no driving tickets in the past 15 years
-3500 hours CFI
-undergrad and a grad degree.

Is Compass slowing down hiring?

Thanks
Best advice I can give is to keep your application updated continuously (at least once / week) and attend job fairs. Most new hires lately have been prior 121, Mil, 135, and the occasional UND/ERAU instructor. Also, checkride (including 141 progress check) failures weigh heavily on your app. With very few exceptions, the maximum is generally no more than 2. Good luck!
Looks like adtg is out and 4 hr min day is in.....

As for reserves...timing is everything...people in my class got lines in dtw right away and the guys that went to lax are still on reserve.

You are correct that the adtg is out. But you are wrong that we are getting a 4 hr min day.

All we get for going away from the adtg is... "4 hours pay and credit for each calendar day away from base with no duty assigned" It is in the CBA twice, in 2 LOA's.

Let me repeat, there is no min day credit without the adtg.

We will not get at least an average 4:00 pay and credit for "every single day away from your base"

This could lead to some nice 3, 4, and 5 days if you have fly a ton of credit on your working days and have a calendar day without a duty period. Will the company still build these? Probably some, but most likely fewer. Time will tell.

However, our low end just got a lot lower (adtg min in parentheses). 2 days can pay 4:00 (adtg min 8:00), 3 days 8:00 (adtg min 14:15), 4 days 12:00 (adtg min 19:00) and 5 days 16:00 (adtg min 23:15).

Please don't be shocked when you see these trips.

From the ALPA hotline:
"...the Association provided notice this week to the Company of our election to discontinue the ADTG and transition to 4 hours pay and credit for each calendar day including calendar day overnight"

Better send our union reps an email and take them to school, looks like they got it wrong in their message to the pilot group. In fact, send like 40...just beat the dead horse as much as humanly possible

Nope, because read the post above this one. People still think it is a min day provision. It is not.
