Ha!

Well everyone here was trying to say it wouldn't happen and that flying is rare. Just be aware of what our new minimum is and you won't get shocked.

Better than every other regional that isn't shrinking or staying the same size. Once we hire the next 150, all the hiring will be for regular attrition which should mimic most of the other regionals out there that aren't shrinking.

You are probably looking at a 1.5-3 year upgrade depending on how much 121 SIC or 135 PIC time you have coming in. With all the pilots bypassing and the restrictions on FO's without 1000 121 SIC time, we could see upgrades go fairly junior if not street CA's later this year.

Thanks for the gouge. FYI I'm looking forward to interviewing on the 10th. I'm Military with 3000hrs of which 1100 is multicrew MEJ with ~ 650PIC in MEJ...I assume compass will honor 500hrs of my military time towards the 1000 121 time? Does anyone out there know for sure if they will? Also if there is anyone out there like me do you have any guidance? Thanks in advance.

It is rare...your talking about 2 flights out of a several hundred we will be doing a day. Nobody said it wasn't going to happen, we said it would be rare, and I guarantee you this was given to CPZ long before any of this ADTG vs 4 hour Min Duty was talked about. The overwhelming majority of our pilot group has spoken, please again stop beating a dead horse. The trip you described will go junior, as it should, it will also be incredibly restrictive in association with FAR 117. Again the FAA hasn't even approved us to fly there yet (it's contingent on a lot of things), they sign off on every route we fly, hence why we were announced to do a lot of flying yet SkyWest has been doing it...

The RNP program is a bigger requirement and issue in SE. SKW is doing that flying FAI is not real RNP heavy its in a pretty accessible area with large runways and good facilities. It would be great if we could get the SE flying but your correct on the work and money it would require for the RNP program to get up and running.

The flights are already in the system and as much as we know now I would assume the trip will not be flown as a turn

We can't even get an ipad mount approved, RNP-- hahahaha

It's not beating a deadhorse when all of you thought it would be a 4:00/day minimum. And when you said rare before, it was only a few times a month. Now it will be at least once a day.

"The trip should go junior, as it should" WOW

Unless there is a rule that Military time counts towards the 1000 needed to upgrade, I think you will still need to get 1000 121 SIC to upgrade. The only thing I am aware of military time helping with is getting your restricted ATP at 750 hours.

There is, in fact, a Federal Aviation Regulation regarding this.
FAR 121.436
(c) For the purpose of satisfying the flight hour requirement in paragraph (a)(3) of this section, a pilot may credit 500 hours of military flight time obtained as pilot in command of a multiengine turbine-powered, fixed-wing airplane in an operation requiring more than one pilot.

Now I didn't understand the difference between Min Calendar day and min Duty period. Can you please enlighten me?!
