Quote: and to be accurate and precise... the 737 MAX is costing jobs and upgrades everyday.
So are those that extend absurd amounts. Maybe MAX extender is a befitting callsign.

Quote: Nail on the head. His misdirection is to cover up his inability to defend the stuff he says, which is why he is the laughing stock of his own company message board ever since Roundtree got his lifetime ban. As for the divorce, he can answer why he has to extend 5-6 days every single month...
Wait a minute.

The Shrub has been banned for life? I would never have left NJA if that was the case. When was the party?

NJA is a very good job. It is better than most in our industry. For many it is good enough to hang around indefinitely. For me, while the pay did increase the work load increased even more...too much. It didn’t seem there was a desire by the pilot group and union to get paid like legacies and work like legacies. Maybe some day the pilot group will have the desire and leverage to do so. They certainly deserve it, working so hard flying around Billionaires...in my opinion they deserve nothing but the best.

i think there is some truth to what Retracrable says. The airlines have their shortcomings, especially from a passenger perspective. And in rough times NetJets has been a good alternative to the FAR 121 world. Overall we are all trying to predict the future, make decisions based on imperfect information regarding events we have no control over.

Which company, contract and seniority number turn out the winner seems to have more to do with random luck than anything else.

Oh calm yourself drama. Hundreds of pilots extend and fly overtime days.

If you think more name calling is in order in the form of passive aggressive smallness that really doesn’t nothing, feel free.

Still, many try to figure out why 3 years later, you waste your time on these boards spreading libelous drivel about your former employer and coworkers. It’s just not normal or healthy... and considering aviation is a small industry... probably not the best idea.

But do your thing.

I don’t “spread” anything about my former employer. I merely come here to combat that literal lies and BS you spew. You are in no position to discuss healthiness, you aren’t even in touch with reality. If you think for one second that your habitual extending doesn’t have a negative impact on real upgrades and hiring, you’re playing yourself. Stop pretending that you care about this “small industry” you claim. Most know you would sell the pilot group down the river for a lower management position. There are also dozens of former employees that come in here and argue with you. The common theme is that most people on this sub form reply to, and debunk your rhetoric.

Well, respectfully, that’s not an argument that I’d ever want to defend personally.

And no... most pilots are busy working and are generally satisfied with things at NetJets. So far as extending... I guess all those FOs extending out there are just as nefarious? Get over yourself. Plenty of pilots extend. Plenty are on the 76 Day schedule. All of this activity is allowed by the CBA.

You just don’t hear from them or read anything here from them. They’re just out living life... like normal people.

Do you run a polling company? You seem to talk like you have the pulse of the pilot group, not just NJA but pretty much every pilot group. You speak in generalities such has “many people” “ most pilot” “majority”. How do you know? Do you poll them? Do you call and ask how they feel in a non binding poll? I mean seriously dude, speak for yourself and yourself only and not others unless you have the data and facts to back it up.

if you extend own it. Say yup I do because that’s the way it is and expenses are X and I make Y. Own it. Saying other people extend is a non starter as what other people do is irrelevant to what you do. You extend, you extend a lot. Why? Who cares, nobody really does. Maybe you have a sick family member. Maybe you have divorce settlement, maybe you lost all your money in a bar and grill. Who cares, just own it and say I have in the past and I’ll do it in the future. People only care that you refuse to admit you extend as much as you do then conflate how much a typical pilot makes not including extended days, signing bonus etc etc etc.

Own the faults of NJA and own the good things. NOBODY on these boards has ever said NJA is a horrible slave ship to work for. NOBODY has. All former employees, looking back on many threads, have all acknowledged NJA was a good job BUT could be improved. You take it as a personal attack, don’t because NJA is not you and you are just a widget moving across an iJet screen to them.

Retractable may not run a polling company but the union uses one. Retractable's observation on current pilot sentiment is accurate. That does not preclude the idea that there is still room for improvement.
