Quote: And that sir is NOT true... It amazes me how people just seem to make stuff up sometimes... Six months, really? Do you read the awards or just go by what you hear? Not only has it not been 6 months but there were upgrades awarded in Dec per vacancy award rev 1 for that month and there's also been a vacancy award in 2016 with capt upgrades on the 747. The Jan 16 vacancy award (rev 1) has the most recent upgrades, none announced in Feb & none announced in March. As a matter of fact dudes from the Jan Vac award had Capt upgrade CRM class last Saturday (I know dudes in last 2 classes). BTW looks like there were some in November as well...

I imagine the reason being used for the slow down in announced upgrades is the OE backlog for both Capts and FOs. currently 124 peeps waiting for OE (both Positions). By my count that's almost 10% of the seniority list, seems like a lot...
I apologize for causing confusion. My focus was solely on the 767 side of the house, but I did not make that clear.

That said, I do believe the last 767 upgrades were posted last November. So IF there are upgrades posted next month for May classes, it will be six months; though I read a post earlier today indicating it may be MUCH LONGER.

Again, sorry for not being clear.

Doph! Wrong thread.

I meant to post this in the Mesa thread.

I was wondering where in the Atlas forums I can find the gouge for the interview. I just received a call and am trying to do a little prep for it, friend of mine is in class now and says it pretty well matches but I want to try and stay ahead of the curve here, anyone able to steer me in the right direction?

Ok cool, thanks for your reply. Sorry if I was harsh with mine, but it's a pet peeve of mine when we over embellish or play fast/loose with the facts. I get it, not what you were doing. Again, apologies if I was a bit harsh.

The Southern CBA is f'n horrible-worse than most regionals including Mesa. I hope negotiations do not take "years". What a freakin train wreck! I am not 100% sure about this latest Union message; is this really going on, and if so, then VERY scary.

A friend of mine was sitting across the table when this happened. It is really going on.

I'd say 2 years at a minimum but 3-4 years is likely. So long as airplanes keep moving and classes are filling up nothing will change (both of which are happening to the delight of management) Atlas is not a legacy carrier but it's far better than a regional or some awful charter gig. If legacies are considered the "Majors" then Atlas is a Minor league team. Some folks are content with that status and all that comes with it, and those are the individuals that HR will continue to recruit.

What the deal with management going into classrooms and threatening the new hires? Calling them "at will employees" and what not...

When did this happen? Recently? They were very cordial in my class back in Sept. But maybe things have changed already in the school house.
