Quote: I think that’s very well put. Brown had been my long term career goal since I was a wee lad. With this shortage my number finally came up and I was offered my choice of 747 or 757 classes. After carefully considering all the angles (pay, QOL, seniority, retirement, stress.) I reluctantly passed on the offer. I also passed on offers from AA and SWA. But like you said, everyone is different. After 12 years at Giant, living in base and flying a week on/week off schedule ANY other job would feel like work. We’ve doubled in size since I’ve started here and some of benefits to working here can’t be had anywhere else. I think that’s why 90% of the attrition at Atlas is in year 1-7 range. Once you’ve settled in here it can be a pretty cushy ride.
If you don't mind me asking, what aircraft are you currently in with that kind of a schedule? I've been thinking about putting an application in with you guys for awhile, and if I do and am fortunate enough to get an offer, I was thinking about pursuing the 767.

Do you guys know how long after receiving an email from the recruiter requesting to fill out a form with your total times and some other hours did you hear back? I'm very interested in the pathway program but I'm in a time crunch, I have a CJO with a Regional, and my ATP/CTP course is coming.

I received an email saying the following: ...."My name is XX and I'm on the Crew Talent Acquisition Team with Atlas Air. We have received your application for the Pathways to Success Program and are currently in the process of reviewing your qualifications. Would you please complete the attached Aeronautical Worksheet and email it back to me to complete our review process and determine the next steps?...."

Thank you guys

That sounds incredible, lol. This is the first time I heard that you all even had the option of bidding a week on week off type of schedule. What kind of seniority does it take to get that option?

I would love to get ONT for the 76 if I do end up joining you all.

A lot of commuters prefer long times out and long times home, so it doesn't take too much seniority to hold split lines. If you live near base, it's very nice.

I appreciate the response, and that's great to hear. Definitely another positive in my book.

to add to living in base, some lines have you returning to base as part of the pattern. A lot of guys go home or have the family stay at the hotel for the layover

I would say the split lines go junior. You won't have a problem getting those out the gate.

Anybody shooting for the 76, who had interviews this week, heard anything yet?

That sounds almost too good to be true, but awesome none the less.

Thank you Rover, I appreciate the feedback.
