Quote: Crews that don't call inrange with multiple wheelchairs.

The tool that invented the concept of the "In Range" report in the first place (at least at one particular airline).

You dutifully send it via ACARS at the appropriate time; then, when you get to the gate, you still have to call ops for a parking crew, then call for a jetway driver, and one of the crewmembers always has to run up the jetway to inform the agent that you need a wheelchair (or 12, if it's an inbound from Florida).

No, wait... There is a use for the "In Range" report:

You get to your departure gate and ask the agent what time your aircraft is due in. She says, "It's in range".

And it arrives 45 minutes later.

When you're not tipping van drivers, honestly, you might as well change your nametag to reflect your status on APC. Bceause you are now the TOY!

Congrats to Luv2Rotate. You've earned it.

As an aside, if you think about inflation, those van drivers are probably getting, on average, a buck per person ($2 from nice guys, nothing form the huge Tools). That's the very same tip they got when I first started working for an airline, which was... well, that's besides the point, but it was a long time ago.

Put that in your financial calculator.

Quote: I don't tip van drivers. I make it a point to load and unload my own bag. Now, if I request a ride to restaurant, movie theatre ect... Then I drop'em a tip.
Wow! Not tipping and then bragging about it on a forum. You earned it! You are the leading contestant so far!!

Quote: The van driver will often have multiple pickups. The frugality of these pilots will then teach the driver to pick up the other hotel guests first/play dumb when asked about where to go to eat/etc.
See what they're looking at when you tip them. They're looking at your hat. More specifically, your hat badge.

They know which crews to always be early for, and which crews they can take their time on.

This is disappointing, in a way, like surfing the web, and finding out you've reached the end of the internet. Who is going to top Luv2Rotate, possibly?

Then again, American Idol had some decent winners after Kelly Clarkson, so there might be another season or two on "TOD". I just don't know...

I used to go to dinner with crews at Coex. Until I learned a hard lesson at a Olive Garden in CMH when 3 FO's stiffed on the bill and refused to add extra for tip.

Luckily, on the mainline side the norm here is $2 for a tip. $1 is acceptable I think on a short trip or you don't have $2.

$0 is never acceptable especially at a mainline... unless you plead for forgiveness because you ain't got no money with you. By accident.

I swear someone on here said they were going to wear their Captain's stripes even after being displaced to the CO-pilot position, and if you have a problem with that pound sand.

I tried to pull it up but it couldn't find it. Anyways, I actually don't think that tops not tipping intentionally, probably #2 if those were the only ones.

Who is the brave soul who wants to go back and rank this soon to be 1,000 post thread?

I only tip 2 if their driving was smooth enough that I didn't have to think about it consciously. Guess I'm 1/2 of a Tool.

Ever notice that guy that's got a digital accelerator and brake pedal (1 or 0) in SFO?

$1.
