F9 Benefits
Quote: Does anyone have a fact sheet outlining the medical benefits/deductibles/etc? Trying to determine if Tricare or F9 medical is a better decision for the family.
I start in the Aug 8th class and had the same questions. I wrote Stephanie in HR and she sent me a PowerPoint on insurance and medical. Write her or PM me with an email and I'll forward it. Lots of good info.

Quote: Anybody out there ever interviewed again after six months?
I interviewed yesterday, and I didn't get the result I had hoped for. If anything though, the interview experience only got me more excited to work for them. It's a great company, with an exciting future.
Just wondering if they will give you another chance, or how easy is it to get another interview scheduled? If anybody has any info it would be appreciated. Thanks!
There are myriad reasons why you didn't get the nod... Sometimes it's experience... Sometimes a portion of the interview was duffed... Unless you were a complete putz or they didn't think you were a good fit, they will, by all means, give you another shot

If they say TBNT it's for good. If they say to try in six months, they think you're going to split as soon as you get a better offer. If you want to be at Frontier, and got the try again in six months message - go for it.

Quote: Frontier doesn't pay for initial hotel?
No. If you get assigned simulator in another city they pay hotel & per diem for that portion. it's a throwback to when you couldn't get a job here unless you lived in Denver, but it sucks.

Ok thanks. As for the experience, yes out of the group I'm sure I had the least. Every guy I talked to had at least two years turbine flying on me. F9 knew my experience, so why offer me the interview if they didn't think I was qualified. I'm thinking this was not a factor. I felt like I fit into their/your culture.
I felt good about the interview, but in the end I didn't sell myself enough. So I messed it up somewhere. Been kicking myself ever since.
I hope your right and that I will get another chance. Thanks for your input.

OK thanks! This is good news, I was so excited about the opportunity and having a long term career at F9. I must not have portrayed that well enough in the interview. I will be there again in five months, and 29 days. Thanks again for your help.

Pilotlife - I'd bet 2 paychecks - which isn't a whole lot of money - that you're dead on correct in your self critique. I'm certain your experience had little to do with it. You met the mins - experience - check! Good on you for owning your missteps! Get back in there hitting on all cylinders and see what happens.

Thank you guys for the info on TRS vs United Health. One more question... How often do bid vacancies run? Quarterly/every other month/as needed?? I start class in two weeks and hoping to be DEN based through the end of the year and then MCO come January.

They run vacancies as needed. Lately they have been nearly every month. I suspect they will have one a month for the rest of the year. I think new hires can get any base they want.

The company just ran a system wide mock bid to see what interest people have in bidding Orlando. I was surprised at how many people bid for Orlando. Anyhow, that topic could be debated at length, but I think if someone wants Denver, they'll get it

I know several people that want Orlando, but so far it shows they will not get it. Not sure about Captains.
