And you’re automatically based in Denver during initial training so don’t expect hotels or per diem. I predict they won’t pay for hotels for a bit they will be flooded with new applicates for awhile because of the TA either way. Once the pool starts to dry up again it may change (12 months).

As an aside I think the fact that DEN based commuters still won’t get their hotel paid for while going to recurrent/upgrade training is a huge oversight by our NC.

I get the feeling our NC wasn’t as thorough as they needed to be in some areas and this was a question that was meant to help me validate or disprove that belief. If other airlines stipulate the company will pay for new hire hotels it’s one benefit that helps recruit individuals that might otherwise not apply to a place that doesn’t. I just hope that we start providing that benefit whether it’s spelled out in the contract or not. I’ve talked to several people in the past that would be great hires that refused to apply because of a hokey caveat like having to pay for their own lodging during training.
