Quote: Yeah, no kidding. Wonder if he helped craft that last email we just all got, what a load of crap.. I have NO DOUBT about what is coming now….
It is frustrating when the MEC controls the message in an effort to stifle the communication of an LEC.

Democracy?
Free speech?

Who needs to shoot outside the circle?

Pedantry. That's so refreshing from the usual delusions.

It's from the Delta MEC. It says so at the top of the email everyone should have received.

You do realize Schwanker, if that is in fact your real name (your parents must have hated you), that the 'MEC' is all not A not One but all the LEC's right?

A single dissent doesn't constitute a 'bypassing' of the will of the Union or the pilots.

You must be older than me because I got all this stuff watching School House Rocks as a kid.

Quote: Hey drank, what did your reps tell you about the survey? Or direction?
I'm not sure what Drank's reps said, but C1 said:

Direction: "The special meeting was to ensure that the direction we have given the Negotiating Committee is clear. For whatever reason, the committee seems to resist any significant amount of redirection away from the paths that they deem appropriate, and we continue to struggle to keep the MEC’s direction in line with your goals and expectations"

Survey (Best I can tell it is addressed here): "we are beginning to see a conflict between the process (mentioned above), the record pace of negotiations, and parochial (third rail) issues the line pilots advised us to avoid."

Oh the MEC.... is this the same one the C1 had this to say about:

"and we continue to struggle to keep the MEC’s direction in line with your goals and expectations—a major part of the process"

I appreciate your moderate tone here. Thank you.

Yeah. Well, I would say that them 'being aware' and 'not doing exactly what council 1 wants' are two different horses. Or donkeys? I don't know equine species. But I do know that this is inside baseball outside the diamond. And it's bush league psych-out sheet man.

Anyway.

Third railish stuff I addressed before. I think.

I have read it. About ten times.

Again. As schoolhouse rock told me, majority rules. Albeit painful, one or two councils out of eight don't get to dictate direction for the ENTIRE pilot group.

Would we want? I mean really dude?

What would I want? For the entire team to demand results which meet or exceed the Survey results without rumored concessions. Is that too much to ask?

Apparently it is.

So. By your logic the councils need to be unanimous or we just punt? Right guys?

Because this is EXACLTY, precisely what you are saying. Correct me if I'm wrong. Your position is, if a council dissents on direction...all bets are off for negotiating?

Then what? Then what in the holy name of Omni Omni Vortac do we do then? What is the path forward from that?

You just got a glimpse into the sausage factory because council one couldn't stfup and do their job. This is all post game stuff that can be discussed after we win. This is talking to your pitcher during a no hitter.

BUSH LEAGUE council 1. Bush. League.
