Is there still a link to the original TFAYD video? Or is that lost to the sands of time and CC's legal team?

I have witnessed it first hand
it’s a great move by management though. And pilots here think they are “saving” 1.8% by having no representation. Reality is they are losing about 40% now simply because they have no one to represent them.

Yep. But as it has been said, it's a genius move by management. The bonus scheme is gone and the money they likely projected to spend on captain payouts over the next 24-48 months and beyond is just rolled into the new TA so it gives the illusion of a great deal when in fact as it has been in the past, they are just moving the same money around to make the pilots think they are doing better than they really are. A pay rise is coming but keep in mind when you vote, you are also losing money already now...and that is before its even published.

I can not wait to watch and see how SAPA sells this.

Is there anything currently in the works within Skywest to join ALPA?

Nope- always some grassroots thing with like 10 people but it never gets traction.

This upcoming TA will tell more. If it's garbage then maybe a union will make more sense. If it's good then why get a union when we get just about the same results without paying dues.

My personal opinion - regionals make the gains the majors get possible. It happens in many professions. Entry level people at the bottom of the career field do the work while those at the top of the field reap the benefits. Seeing how well union negotiations went for Mesa and Horizon and how many jobs were saved by the unions at TSA and Compass what is the point of paying dues to an organization that has made it's priorities (mainline) crystal clear.

Not saying a version of shuffling money around isn’t possible but SAPA did confirm that the captain bonuses are not gone. Nothings official yet.

Who do I put in my two weeks notice to? What’s the best way to go about doing so?
