You have a very good point. I will have to carefully weigh the options of staying (if the pay is less) and just racking up hours as quickly as possible since I am already actively flying versus the time delay of going through training at another Regional and then not flying for 3-4 months. It really is a tough call that will require some careful math.

As far as moving, that is not much of an issue. The wife and I bought a large RV for our move to Boise and moving is as simple as putting a thousand dollars of diesel in the tank. I wanted to live in base during the climb up the airline ladder and my wife works remotely, so we positioned ourselves to be mobile.

I have CJOs for OO and C5, and had pretty much decided on OO because I want to be based at LAX near family and not have to commute. Plus there is all the talk about UAX 50 seaters getting phased out. But with the new C5 pay and bonus it’s pretty tempting. Eventual goal is Delta, United or Southwest LAX base.

Did Envoy/PSA give them class dates right away? I've heard the new hire waitlist is 6-8 months long, but maybe it's different for new FOs who already have their type rating and ATP.

Default NYC

Hello guys,

When I got the CJO with OO they told me I could get NYC as a base. Is that true? I thought they closed that one.

You can get an ATL CRJ base.... It's on the same coast(ish) at least.

Is there a mechanism to trigger a referendum on the SAPA reps?

Just thinking. It would take too long to get ALPA or Teamsters in here, but if the pilot group was riled up enough to start calling for SAPAs heads that might get management’s attention as a precursor to unionization.

Report from somewhere that “we only have one SAPA rep writing the language for the PPM” and that’s the latest excuse for the delays.

Do you think Alaska has just one guy working on their agreement? Is there just one working on Frontier’s contract? We’re a bigger airline than both of those.

it’s in sapa AKA managements best interest to delay it as much as possible. Nothing but games. Management is just being management. Doing a great job of it actually. And when we vote No, it will be another 6 months before they give us the second version, by which time they’ll have gotten to their 4000 pilot group number they need to ensure a 12 month survival.

Monthly minimum guarantee bumped up to 76 hours (from 75).

Commuters get 4 or 6 monthly hotel rooms (line holders 4, reserve 6)
6 floating vacation days

Our TA is going to look so bad compared to this (and that's not even compared to Envoy/PSA/Piedmont).
this is just a short term fix. UA is killing off 50 seaters. This buys them time. Then commutair goes bye bye next year as the regional model continues to collapse.

no contract here. One guy is plenty. It’s already decided what we are getting to vote no on. They just stall because they think it buys time. The smart ones are still leaving though.

If your goal is delta then don't go to OO, they are metering us and it will take you much longer to get hired there.
