Be honest now.
You said you didn’t think, and you hoped, there’d be no contractual language problems so you’d present the TA a week ago. What happened? What’d you (or Tracy) screw up? Again I ask, did the TA die?
There’s a ton of good pilots deserving this thing now. Yesterday really. But you know that.

The DB thing was awesome obtw.

Paperwork is on TT's desk awaiting a signature I'm sure.
Ah yes, the fabled desk of TT...also the location of who killed JFK, where Jimmy Hoffa's body is and the truth about UFOs.

Guilty. But I'd rather hope for something good than be completely nihilistic about it.

That's where the DB Cooper money is too

CommutAir new LOA:

FO: $25,000 sign on bonus, $72/hr starting, $25,000 per year retention bonus.
CP: $100/hr, $50,000 per year retention bonus ($50,000 direct entry bonus)

Monthly minimum guarantee bumped up to 76 hours (from 75).

Commuters get 4 or 6 monthly hotel rooms (line holders 4, reserve 6)
6 floating vacation days

-----------------------------

Our TA is going to look so bad compared to this (and that's not even compared to Envoy/PSA/Piedmont).

I must admit, I never thought I would consider leaving for another regional, but if our new pay agreement doesn’t at least go into the $70+ an hour range for 1st year FOs and have at least a few quality of life improvements, then I will likely leave.

I have only been off IOE for a little over a month now. 6 people in my class left SkyWest in the last 2 weeks. 5 for Envoy and 1 for PSA.

I like SkyWest so far, but cannot justify staying if the pay is not competitive with other Regionals. I recently moved to Boise and it would not be hard to up and move again. I would just want to ensure that I can get into a training class quickly.

Every other FO is right there with you evaluating options and submitting apps. Envoy for 90 an hour or 146 if you have a bit of 121 time. Frontier starting at 90 and spirit is figuring out what to do to keep up. Just a matter of time before allegiant does the same. Now with commutair doing this it's not just the WOs. I would think AirWis will pay more to keep up with it's new contract. Not sure what the renegotiated Mesa and Horizon contracts will bring.

Metering class dates to the legacies all along with getting paid about half as much as the market says is competitive will make this group clear out quickly. The newer generations (millennials and those of gen z that actually have jobs) have found that being loyal to one employer does not pay off.

This one hits home, big time! Nobody cares anymore if you only spent 2 weeks at your last airline.

I wouldn’t lateral if you live in base. Get hours and get out. Put your apps in with an ULCC now
