I have a class date of 3/27/2023 indoc so I guess I'll expect to have mine canceled within the next couple days then. This sucks.

Post New Class Date

For another data point, I completed my interview this week and was told that my class date (if I get the CJO) would be "mid-summer." The interviewer said that that info had just been emailed to him but <shrug> who knows if that's a realistic timeframe or not.

Default April class

Curious if anybody here is sitting in the April 14 ctp / April 24 erj class. I would assume these will both be pushed / canceled in the coming months.

I'm in that class -- We will see. Not likely, but maybe that's far enough out that they will be back on track and ready for an FO class.

Personally I do think SkyWest would slot the cancelled Feb/March classes behind the currently scheduled April/May/June ones (considering those aren’t canceled). It seems like a lot of work to reschedule everyone for FOs they really aren’t that desperate for especially since they’re probably going to have ask all those people if they haven’t moved on….. Skywest has no shortage of applicants

If I could guess, late December ERJ indoc was told to expect late March/early April for ground. So assuming same timeframe, this last ERJ indoc class would be late April/early May. So mid late April would PROBABLY be when you’d get the call. Assuming the recession hasn’t revved up yet and SkyWest hasn’t paused hiring indefinitely.

The lesson here is take the earliest available class date at any regional (have multiple CJOs!) . Get some 121 time, if you hate it there move to a ULCC or stay and upgrade. I put all my eggs in the SkyWest basket and I’m going to apply to other opportunities but either way I’m going to be delayed months - so that’s 121 time lost and seniority lost. Funny thing is I swear I’ve heard that lesson before on here…..

That doesn’t make any sense, everything in the airlines is by seniority they will cancel april/june/july and replace them with the delayed classes so they don’t wait longer and push later classes to minimize delay time for each class and therefore lose less pilots

I noticed that skywest tends to wait until class date is a month away then cancel it so applicants have no other options but wait it out.

You are not in any seniority list yet.
